Well Resident evil (GC) feels so much different from RE4. The controls take a decent bit of time to get used to especially since there was only 2 others games I played with these similar controls (Onimusha and Silent Hill). The tension is alot higher in this game and the Camera angles actually add to the whole atmosphere, why do reviewers keep bashing it so much? Some of the in-game scenes are just spectacular, honestly even some HD games I've played on 1080p looked nowhere as realistic as some of these scenes. The only real complaint I have is going into the menu to select the knife, in RE4 I used the knife more than msot people like conserving ammo and slashing enemies that are already on the floor. Beside that though what a fucking great game to get into the Halloween spirit. I also bought Umbrella Chronicles, not that much scary at all but still fun to play with others. |

the remake was ahead of it's time in terms of graphics. the game's scary especially knowing that you don't have a lot of ammo. like most of the resident evil games other than re4. |

Is there a way to manually reload or do you pretty much have all your ammo in 1 clip? Started the game out with Jill and liking it so far, do the 2 characters have alternate stories or is it pretty much the same thing no matter who you pick? |

If you run out of ammo, you'll see them replace the clip. If you do it from the menu, it basically has the same effect as stopping, and sliding more bullets into the same clip. They're pretty much the same story, with a few different situations. For example, (someone dies) by a giant snake in Jill's story, and (that same someone dies) by a shark in Chris's. They also have a few gameplay idea changes, like mixing chemicals to kill a boss instantly, rather than having an actual battle with it. Jill's is WAY easier, she has more item slots and gets better weapons, but Chris can take more damage without dying. Also, depending on how you play, the ending changes. The better the ending, the better rewards you get. |

Hmm so it's minor details that are being changed then nothing huge? Say for instance at the start of the game when Jill wesker and barry arrive at the mansion, If I picked Chris (I think), is jill replaced by him or do you end up in a complete different location? Also I though I picked my difficulty Level already, something like mountain climbing. I had no idea characters had stats like that, pretty cool though. |

When you pick Chris, Berry is the one who disappears. Jill and Wesker split up with you to find him in that situation. You still start out in the same location, though. Chris doesn't start with a handgun, only a knife (I forget if it's different with Jill). Their gameplay situations change a little as well. Jill will have to do some things that Chris won't, and vice-versa. And the one about "Mountain Climbing" is the harder difficulty. Less ammo/healing items to find, and the enemies hurt more, as well as take a lot more ammo to kill. I find Hiking more fun, mostly because I like to horde handgun ammo. There's a glitch that can give Jill infinite grenade launcher ammo if you ever get stuck, though. Also, if you hadn't started to burn the zombie's bodies, you're gonna want to. That's something I missed the first time around, and it can cost you quite a bit of resources. Edited by MalAlmighty, Oct 4 2008, 03:08 AM.

SO Mountain Climbing is hard and Hiking is normal? Didn't know that thought it was MC=Normal and H=easy. I want to paly the game on the default difficulty they intended it to be played the first time. I'm not to far intot he game yet, only just got the defense dagger. |

I can't stress this bit enough to you. Always burn the bodies once you've killed a zombie unless you take off it's head. Like Mal said, it can cost you resources, mainly ammo and health items. |

Does Jill get the Lighter as well? I've watched vids and it seems chris only uses it. |

Chris has the lighter as his main item and Jill has the lockpick as her main item, which unlocks every lock that needs a small key in Chris' game. It's been a while since I played it, but if my memory serves me right, you have to find the lighter and lighter fluid in Jill's game. |

My view is that Outbreak would own if it were more like the Gamecube REs and less like Code Veronica. Then again, Outbreak's online servers were ended... so. |

Which games would you advise I buy again? To be honest, I haven't played any in years, and I rarely play outbreak. So where would be a good place to catch back up? From what I can remember Jill was my favorite character. |

My personal preference, as I said before, is Resident Evil 1 and 0 on Gamecube, aswell as 4. Those 3 are by far the best in my opinion. 1 and 0 for classic survival horror, 4 for more of a third person shooter style one. All are great. |

Re4 on ps2 man, the RE0 and REmake are only available on gamecube. One of the reason I bought a Wii though. |

o shit. that was awesome. so glad wesker will probably be in the game quite a bit instead of just making a cameo. thanks man. i didn't know tgs started already. i thought it was next week. this trailer is bitchin'. He's back!!! chris mentions the the ganados in the kennedy report. i heard somewhere that the game takes place before re4. they mentioned saddler being in the game too. i guess not. unless it takes place at the same time. but it can't because wesker was overlooking ada at the time. Donno where you heard that. I'm fairly certain RE5 has always been said to take place 6 years after RE4. |
