yeh i was just wondering an i didnt know where else to post this. as mgs4 is the most involved with the patriots i thought it was necessary here |

^ That is a big spoiler there Granin [/spoiler] tags are your friend. It's funny how the OP originally asked one question and everybody came back answering a different question. He really didn't ask ARE the Patriots real, he was saying "What if", what do you think would happen. I don't think us normal people would know, we would think things are playing out according to governments, and when an event such as MGS4 would take place, we would just think of it as a World War, brought on by countries and not know there was a small group behind it. You have to remember, somebody like Solid Snake who was involved with the deepest black ops, didn't even find out about them until late in his life. So us normal people would never know. |

I believe that a secret organization controls the American government, who else would keep Bush as president? Lol Anyway, if The Patriots were real, I don't think anyone could anything about it, even if someone knew of their existence. Unfortunately, there's no Solid Snake. |

Is there really any need for spoiler tags anymore, MGS4 has been out for quite a long while now, everyone who doesn't own it surely has a friend that does; and if they don't the will have read the spoilers out of curiosity by now anyway... Besides I and most people new about Spoiler: click to toggle Spoilers are becoming an irritation now I have to say. The Patriots are a spoiler in a sense... to people who haven't played MGS2... Anyway

I sooo knew somebody was going to grow some e-nuts and try to debate the spoiler tag issue. Yes, there are plenty of people who haven't played it. If the mods felt there wasn't need for it anymore they would get rid of the spoiler section like they did with the theory one. There's a big different between spoilers from MGS2 and MGS4, quite a few years difference. In time we won't need to worry about MGS4, but it has only been out for a little bit. Bleh, I'll mellow out and stop. I just get annoyed with people arguing spoiler tags when it is so simple. |

If the Patriots were real, and the events of MGS2 and MGS4 came to pass, the seemingly harmless old white guy who is President of the US would be replaced by an unknown person with little experience but who captures the hearts and minds of the public, though this is all staged by the Patriots through control of the media and information. OH, wait a minute.... And when you look at how similar G.W. Bush and and George Sears look, it makes a lot of sense.
