Watched the second two days ago, nothing compared to the first. Was mix of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and some Harry Potter thrown in there for good measures, the initial one was just hard action with comedy, made by experts  I hate this new formula adopted in films.. INTRODUCE NEW CHARACTER EVERY SCENE. |

The first Hellboy movie is my all time favourite comicbook film. And I absolutely LOVED the second movie too. Got a chance to see it while I was on vacation last week. I thought it was pretty cool. Me and my mum couldn't stop laughing at the whole 'can't smile without you' scene I really do hope they make a 3rd movie. Ron Perlman is just awesome as Hellboy!

I liked the first one a lot and though the second did not surpass it, it was still a good film. The jokes were better this time around and that elf prince was plain bad assed.

I didn't like the second Hellboy myself. I thought there were too many over-cheesy lines, but the most annoying thing was the ridiculous effort to make it a comedy. |

Hellboy is my favorite comic character of all time. I thought both films were great, and did justice to a wonderful character. Granted at times it can be cheesy and over done, but it you read the comics, thats what Hellboy is. |

It isn't bad, it's just i know what the first Hellboy was like, and i didn't like the cheesy-ness and amount of bad jokes. But if you liked the first Hellboy you'll probably like this. Personally i saw it not for fun but basically as a critic (if you know what i mean) and that's how I saw it. You (and a lot of people) might think differently. |

meh to both movies. none of them came nearly close to capturing how cool hellboy actually is, it just focused more on sfx. didnt have mignolas signature minimalist style to it at all. |

I enjoyed the comedy aspect of the second movie. However I have not read the comics so I really don't know if the movies did a good job at portraying him. But knowing hollywood comic movies to fans these were probably horrible. What I did really like about the second movie was their costumes and make up. It was visually amazing. |
