I had just finished Condemmed 2 Boodshot about a week or so ago. And now I want to play a new scary game. Which game should I get?

I am leaning towards Fatal Frame.

Gears of War was as close as I ever got to a horror game.

Those fucking berserkers were scary... o.o

Try the Silent Hill series. Silent Hill 2 is the best one (followed by 3 and 1 then 4) so check it out. Other than that, Resident Evil is an awesome series.

I just beat Condemned 2 yesterday, was pretty damn scary at times. Pick up Silent Hill 2 or 3. If you really want the shit scared out of you get Fatal Frame, hoestly I can't paly that game in the dark.

As mentioned, Silent Hill is the best your going to get. All of them, well, the first few, if you can see past the PS1 graphics its a great game.

Scariest, in my opinion, is 4. Best in most people's opinion is 2.

But Resident Evil (Remake) and Resident Evil 0 are a lot more fun, gameplay wise.

Yes, i've played FF.

I happen to be addicted to scary games... it's the closest thing to an adrenaline rush I'll ever have since I follow the speed limit and I'm too clumsy for extreme sports.

Fatal Frame is alright, not really up to par as far as my standards for horror games go...

I will have to echo this sentiment, once again. Silent Hill has an incredible story but you may want to snag the plot summary from GameFAQs after you play through it so you know what the hell just happened or you most likely won't get it. The controls and graphics are of course, dated because of it's time but as far as psychological horror goes, it doesn't get any better than Silent Hill. The first one is a good place to start, too because... well, you should and I never thought the following games in the series lived up that first outing in Silent Hill.

As for other games; I haven't really got anything worth mentioning besides what's already been said but, if you like First Person horror games like Condemned then F.E.A.R. is a good choice for FPS horror... you could easily find it cheap and the new one (Project Origin) will be coming out soon so that will give you something to look forward to if you end up liking the first iteration. Also, no one has mentioned Siren, yet... which, I haven't bought but I played the demo and didn't think it was too bad. It got average scores and you can download it off PSN, right now so there's another option.

Happy hunting.

Edit: @Sad's post below: Yeah, I suppose i'll have to give respect to Fatal Frame for doing something different by using the camera as the weapon. I just didn't feel as tense with it as I did with SH.

I've played fatal frame and it's truly one aof a kind. Really that game had me scared more so than Silent hill. Silent hill is still a better game IMO but fatal frame had a different way of disposing enemies. If you want to be scared shitless at times, play fatal frame...But if you want to be creeped the fuck out every minute your palying defo pick up silent hill. has the most engaging unsettling environment in a game. God damn RADIO!

I'm too of a chicken to play scary games. lol
Scariest games for me:
RE4(which wasn't that scary)
Half life 1 and 2 and their expansion's (Blueshift, Opfor, Ep1)
and Resistance Fall of Man made me jump once or twice.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Damn ghost things in the prison)
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (The hands that come out of the portals and those zombies that screech at you)
Oblivion creeped me out at first (Especially when I couldn't kill ghosts, but now it doesn't.)

I have silent hill 2 that I borrowed from a friend but never gave back.
The first time I tried playing I made it too the city and saw the first enemy thing, second time I tried I killed the first fight able enemy and took the radio and then turned it off. Lol. I suck D:.

wait for silent hill 5. It comes out sometime in September. There is also Dead Space, but you can always play the last-gen stuff as mentioned by everyone.
