i dont want to sit here and have a political debate over who the better canidate is in the up comming presidental election here in the US. i just think its important for the whole race issue to be left out of it. people should vote for whom ever they plan to vote for based on how well they think that person can fill the role and make the best decisions. people that say theyre not voting for "the black guy" just because he's black yet have no idea about the policy diffrences between him and the other party really annoy me and are a display of true ignorance IMO no matter who you plan to vote for or stand behind in any election, or decision or whatever the case may be do it because you believe in that person and what they have to say. not because of the color of that person's skin or the color of his rivals society as a whole has come to far to dewl on what i see as an insignifigent diffrence in modern times. its been proven time and time again that that people of all colors and backgrounds have the same potential to reach greatness in history like i said, IDC who you vote for and support, just do it for the right reasons and not ignorent ones |

I don't have a lot to say on this matter, I think both Obama and McCain are awful, but I agree completely, race should never have anything to do with it. The funny thing is, a lot of people who might agree with Obama's policies refusing to get behind him because they don't want to vote for a black man, and some people feel like they have to vote for him because they don't want to feel like they're racist, on my last trip to the US a week ago, someone called me racist because I said Barack Obama was a house negro - which of course is ridiculous. |

ya i was just using the current political race here as a good example of what im talking about i had some one tell me the other day they they wernt voting for barock because "hes a N***** muslem whos going to blow up the united states'' i just think its a shame people are so shallow, even to the point where they'll put unnecessary racism before their own best intrests when casting a ballot i think well educated voters is something this country lacks, badly. if your voting for someone else then me thats ok, as long as your doing it because you believe in them, not just because you liked his comercial or he's the same color as you are |

I'm sorry Null, but were you referring to this statement? ^^^ But yeah, wether anyone likes it or not, race has played one of the main factors for politics since the very beginning. It was a requirement to be white for fucks sake. Only now that everyone is open minded enough to have moved past that at least, I'm happy. Even if there are those stupid people out there that don't want "that N****, muslim, satan, dark, scary man who makes alot of sense" to rape and blow up their country.....Idiots. By the way, you misspelled Politics 250Mav.
That has nothing to do with the topic. And on top of that gets bonus points for being retarded. ...In my opinion.

I agree on this, the race issue has to be left out, that has no difference in the worlds most biggest election...Especially when nearly every person in the whole world is watching the campaign... |

Yeah......And? I read all the statements before I posted. That's what I was referring to in my post. Whoops. But i suppose if you want something cut and dry then... Race should not play a part in our polotics. It's very unfair and needs to stop. The people voting for the people should vote for the people becuase they have good values and ideas. Not becuase of what kolor their skin is or where they come from. Edited by The Black Devil Of Outer Heaven, Aug 31 2008, 01:44 AM.

If i was to vote logically i'd vote McCain. He has 10 times the experience of Obama and i disagree with so many of Mr Obama's views. But i'm sick of the way things are, so i'm rooting for Barack. Plus McCain is old, has a bad medical record, and... Obama is hawt for a 40 something guy. I heart him Seriously if i was gay and 20 years older i'd screw that. |

Experience isn't everything. Look what Bush's and Chaney's experience got us. Maybe we just need something new. edit: on the racist part. It's retarded really. If you vote McCain and someone calls you racist for it then that's just dumb. Unless of course the reason you voted against him was black then yes that's racist I suppose, but if it's because McCain represents you better then there shouldn't be a problem. Those who say Obama is going to blow us up 1) what makes them think that? 2) Why would he? Both canidates preach change but polticians have a habit of lying just to get n office and do nohting till re-election time rolls around or the poeple are screaming murder like they did with my states property tax. To sum this up vote for whomever represents you best. If you don't like either then oh well vote anyway. It's your patriotic duty. Edited by black king, Sep 5 2008, 09:06 PM.

Well thats a matter of opinion. Bush wasnt bad. But experience is a vital part when it comes to a job like this. It can be bad yes i.e barack isn't tainted by the evil side of politics, but it can also be good. Anyways... Obama 4eva! |

I suppose it's an opinion yes. But still perhaps what America needs is something new instead of experiance. McCain's VP pick has more experience then him really. A Govenor is more qualfied to be President then a senator imo since senators work in the legislative area of the government and the President works in the executive area. Govenors work in the executive branch too so frankly Sarak Palin(i spell that right?) has more experience then Biden, Obama, and McCain. Too bad the Republican posistions aren't reversed they would have a better chance to win. Bush wasn't great either. Have you seen the economy over here? We're in a recession pretty much. The only way to have experience in the executive area is if you're a former VP running for President or a govenor or some other executive area. |

Jesus! Sarah wouldnt even say that herself. She's got experience of course....at bringing up kids (1 who just popped out a kid whilst unmarried, which can harm the image of her campaign) And McCain has had exexutive experience. They picked Sarah for quite a few reasons: To appeal to female voters To appeal to those strict conservatives as McCain is a "maverick" And... In terms of GDP, America is actually better off. But your not in a recession yet. The same thing is happening all over with the credit crunch too Lol i just read this online: "Due to the fact that we are sending all of our money, all of our military forces , and pretty much all of our jobs overseas the economy is in hell right now. And that has not been a problem ever with a democrat in our office." Thats has never been a problem? Well cleary that guy knows much.

I don't like the way the Democrats market themselves as a center left party when they're not, plus I could never support a party which pushes a genocidal consensus on the Arab world. I'd vote for Ralph Nader, I've been a fan of his since I became interested in politics in the mid '90s, he's one of the only people who never changes what he says. This is off topic anyway, is there a thread for the election? |

When and where? He's a senator not an executive. It shows he knows a lot. Whenever the Democrats are in usually the economy is up. When the Republicans are usually in the economy goes down. this isn't always the case and i'm neither Democrat or Republican those are just facts. And yes America is in a recession but if were not we're probably darn close. |

amen 250, i hate it when people decide not to vote for someone because of their race or religion, it pisses the hell out of me. everyday i hear that hilary supporters are switching to mccains side because barack is black. another thing that i find retarded is that when someone doesnt like obama, they use his entire name and say his middle name really slowly "barack HUSSSSEEEEEIIIIIINNNNNN obama" |
