Hi all, every hour or so i get this pop up. I also pressed move to vault but it keeps popping up. I scanned my comp with AVG and removed all the warnings but it never popped up as a threat. IMG: http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/9334/27123373im7.jpg Can anyone tell me what to do please? |

if you still have the file located somewhere,find it and delete it,if that doesn't work then download another anti-virus program i guess i'm really sure what to do here though |

Hmmm, try downloading and running ad-ware and virus scan software, and if not, download a program called HijackThis, and run it, it will scan and create a log of all services etc running, but once the log is made save it, do nothing else, then paste the log into a thread over at www.bleepingcomputer.com in the HijackThis logs thread, and the techies over there will provide a solution if anything looks bad. |

When I used AVG I always used ad-aware as well. Both of them together should take out most problems. If you still have trouble you might want to get spyware doctor. It is only $20 but works like a dream. If you can't get it, message me and I can help ya get it for free.

Here's what I'd do: - Locate the file and try deleting it/the folder it might be in. (don't delete the main TEMP folder!) - If you can't, then open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and find the program in the list and end it. Now try deleting it again. - If none of this works, or even if it does work... restart your computer and re-scan the folder it was in and see if it's gone or might still be lurking. - If it's gone - success. If it's there again... boot up in Safe Mode (hold F8 when you reboot) and select Safe Mode from the menu. Locate the file and delete it again. Restart normally and re-scan. Thanks for the replies guys, so far Luke's second idea is working now iam gonna scan the computer and ill get back to you guys. Royce do you mind sending me the "free" scanner in a pm? Thanks again for the replies guy and thank you for the help i really appreciate it. You guys rock! |
