Don't tread on me.

I'm quite excited to see this.

Mr. Snake, Max Payne did not receive an Oscar. Oscars are for film. I believe it did receive various gaming industry kudos, however. I only played the first game, which I really enjoyed. It was heavily inspired by the cinematography of John Woo (the director of Hard Boiled) and the Wachowski brothers (writers and directors of The Matrix). The hyper-kinetic movements you are capable of in the game were inspired, in particular by John Woo. The slow-motion effects you are capable of using in the game for stylistic and tactical purposes were inspired in particular by the Wachowskis, who brought the "bullet time" effect into the mainstream in the most palpable way.

Yeah, it gets mentioned. The hallucinations that Max gets, is cause of Valkyrie.

Oh my FUCKING god yes, the game of my youth may actually get descent movie!! This is so much better than the 1st trailer that was released, directing looks really pro and the angels that were conflicting before appear to be in those sequences where Payne is walking through his guilty conscience. And Marilyn manson's "If I was your vampire" in the trailer for the win.

And it's Valkyr.

It looks cool! I'm gonna watch this when it get's out...But why did they choose Ludacris to play as Bravura? In the game, Bravura looks like an elderly man....

Don't tread on me.

It would be a sad, yet laughable irony if I came to enjoy this trailer more than the film. Trailers really do get the hair standing up on the back of your neck in a way films don't, though, I guess. Anticipatory anxiety, I suppose?

I was hoping this issue won't be brought up, yet you're so right.
Most of overrated movies nowdays show up all the best things about the movie in trailer, but I see that certain scenes in trailer follow the game quite religiously so IF they followed the game that is basically a movie script in comic this should be awesome.

also, looking forward to the Official Soundtrack. .)

I hope they bring the Norse mythology elements into the film. It looks like they will be present, which is one reason I'm as excited as I am.
