Time is the death and the healing

^It's pretty fast for that type of song, but really all the drumming is something I can do without too much effort. What Kai Hahto does in Wintermadness, on the other hand, is simply too fast for me to play accurately. Really, you should rather look at some extreme fast black metal or something, I don't know... I know a couple of more extreme bands. Nile, for example, is pretty fast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNQpLFns-CA |

^I know Nile isn't black metal, I'm not really familiar with a whole lot of fast black metal anyway. I was just pointing that it's more extreme stuff. |

I acknowledge that none of this is necessarily 'the fastest' (which can be difficult to say hands down), but maybe you'll enjoy some of this stuff anyways. I definitely recommend them if you're into metal and not already familiar. Anyways, hows about some brutal/technical death metal? Decapitated, Necrophagist, Spawn of Possession, Psycroptic, Origin, Sleep Terror, Severed Savior? Decapitated's "Winds of Creation" @ Playlist.com Necrophagist's "Only Ash Remains" @ Playlist.com (listen to 4 minute long track) Necrophagist's "Fermented Offal Discharge" @ Playlist.com Spawn of Possession's "Lash by Lash" @ Playlist.com Spawn of Possession's "Swarm of the Formless" @ Playlist.com Psycroptic's "Alpha Breed" @ Playlist.com Martyr @ MySpace (progressive technical death) Origin's "The Aftermath" @ Playlist.com Origin's "Portal" @ Playlist.com Sleep Terror's "Hypersomnia Rationale" @ Playlist.com Sleep Terror's "Dipsomaniacal Chronotherapy" @ Playlist.com Also, Beneath the Massacre is very technical and fast at times. If you don't mind the -core influence, they're an interesting listen. Hm, and Lye By Mistake is nice and fast, jazzy mathcore. Can't promise you'll be into it, but it's worth a mention. Lye By Mistake @ MySpace Beneath the Massacre's "Totalitarian Hypnosis" @ MySpace |

Scholars tell us that the first spy in history was the snake in the Book of Genesis. In that story it was Eve who was tempted by the snake in the garden of Eden. But this time around it was I who tempted the snake and got away with the forbidden fruit of knowledge.

That was insanity, though he looked in intense pain around 1:06. Possibly as he shouldn't be moving his hands at that speed. I was amazed he didn't just get a random load of noises/break his hands hitting that fast. @Shyne - Thanks for Six, it's a brilliant song, and definitely some of the fastest drumming I've heard. And I always thought Dragonforce were pretty fast, looks like I was mistaken.
