I'll be honest, I didn't expect Zimmerman to pull of Liquids voice like he did. Really good.  But to me nothing beats Cam Clarke's original work, although Zimmerman came close. Although both voice actors cries of 'Brother!' send shivers up my spine.

Cam Clarke/James Flinders did an amazing job on Liquid in the early Metal Gear Solid Games (MGS1/2) His voice made the villan. But Zimmerman added a more vicious/tyranny sound to Liquid being older/having a more deeper sound. I just love them both. But i'll vote for Original Liquid being my favourtire character from the MGS Series. Edited by Machinegun Kid, Sep 9 2008, 11:57 AM.

Cam Clark's british accent was just great, it made his character unique - how many badass villains with british accents do you know in videogames? And like Machinegun Kid said, Zimmerman added more tyranny to Liquid's character, not to mention that it was more appropriate because of Liquid Ocelot's age. Tough choice, but I voted Cam Clark because I think he sounds more intense in his dialogues. |

patric zimmerman sounds older...and with his fake english accent he sounds awesome...patric for old liquid (liquid ocelot) and cam clarke for young liquid (liquid snake) U ALL AGREE?! |

I think Zimmerman suited the older liquid better, but I preffered seeing Cam Clarke in action, just unbeatable. |

I know what your saying as to its not really liquid anymore in mgs4 so how can you choose. But if it was the choice of whose voice is better between liquid-ocelot and liquid and not, which liquid voice do you prefer, then i chose cam, his voice just really suits liquid. |

......Why so many people liked Liquid's original voice????? I hated it. It sounds so... well, how can I put it without sounding unintentionally offensive? Basicallt, it didn't sound like a very manly and virile voice. Besides, it sounded very ridiculous to my ears. And I blame it all on Cam Clarke. By voiceacting Master Miller, he demonstrated he could pull off a pretty cool voice; why did he have to make Liquid sound so.... utterly ridiculous?? |

I loved Patric Zimmerman's voice acting in MGS4. The way in which he spoke was a nice and subtle change from the Revolver Ocelot voice into a Liquid style voice (I'm only talking about the tones he uses in his sentences). For Liquid Ocelot, I thought overall Zimmermann pulled off a great job, and that his voice suited Liquid Ocelot perfectly. Even though it was a nice touch at the time, I was never really into the vibe from MGS2 where Ocelot spoke with the original Liquid's voice. Still, Cam Clarke's Liquid voice is by far the best in my opinion. Its just perfect for the genetic/evil/sinister brother of Solid Snake. The fact that Liquid is British, and that Snake is from the US is one of those genius little touches in the relationship between Solid and Liquid. They are both so different, yet so similar. Also to Lun-Sei Sleidee: YOU ARE COMPLETELY ALONE with that comment. I cannot see any other MGS fan in the world agreeing with you at all. If you think Liquid is a poor villain (his voice MADE the character), then you clearly don't have a clue.

I like Cam Clarke's voice better, but I think Patric Zimmerman really did justice to Liquid's character with the voice. So i'm going to vote for Origional voice, but that doesn't mean I don't like Liquid Ocelot's. I still like Zimmerman's Ocelot voice. |
