The unknown hackers (reportedly from the infamous 4chan community) demanded $25,000 in return for his passwords. Soulja Boy's Myspace was edited with obscenity-laden messages where Soulja Boy purportedly declared his homosexuality and told fans to "go f—- yourselves". Eventually, record label, Interscope, contacted both Myspace and Youtube in order to have control restored. Normally I hate hackers with a passion...but I hate rappers who destroyed the rap genre like Soulja Boy even more. I actually smirked when I read it since I have a great dislike for his style of music. |

I agree with Sad here. I only know one song from Soulja Boy but I know for sure it's guys like him who are slowly destroying hiphop music. I really miss the mid 90's. I was 14 or 15 and Tupac, Biggie and ODB were still around. Busta Rhymes still is but he can't go on forever. Those were the days.. |

Lol... congrats to the /b/s. I dislike rap music as a whole [minus white rap like the Gorillaz... and I say 'white rap' because the cofounders of the Gorillaz are both white, do not flame me] but I do know how to do most of the 'Soulja Boy up in the hoooo why they crank it why they whoooahh something something something ohhhh now super man that ho' dance. Know the lyrics very well, too, if you couldn't tell. Anyway, all of kids in my choir [mostly white kids, but a few latinas, too] would dance to that when it came on the radio. It was so fucking funny... Gingers and pale kids shuffling around awkwardly... nice. |
