I've seen pictures and info on youtube about the new Dragonball movie from youtube and this stuff looks pretty legit to me. On another note why is Piccolo fucking yellow? At least make him a light green or a darker shade. I am really not looking forward to this movie  I was a huge DB/DBZ/DBGT fan and this movie just looks terrible IMO. Why doesn't piccolo look anything like he should? He looks crap. |

details eh, ok. This movie for one doesn't look promising. All you have to do is see the poster and whos playing Goku its the fuckin kid from War of Worlds the douchebag kid that was insanely annoying. The style of the show can't be reproduced into a movie? how is that gonna work? sure they will do more realistic and try to do the show justice but do you really think that this movie is gonna be good? seriously how can anybody knowing the show (i consider myself a fan) is gonna see this movie as promising? sure there is no trailer for it. But i have zero hope for this movie. I'd like for it to prove me wrong i'd be happy to see a trailer that will blow my mind but looking at the director and the cast.. its gonna be lame |

I am a big fan of DB/DBZ (not so much GT), but I think it's going to flop. The movies are never as good as the series, and I don't think it's going to change here. |

Someone is expecting a bit too much from this movie. You really think Dragonball could make the most money ever on opening night, and the most money ever? Dragonball is barely hyped enough for that, the mainstream people are definitely not going to watch this movie. With mainstream people I mean; folks who check out movies on a regular basis, but mostly these movies are pretty much hyped, or have a promising cast. Dragonball has none of those two. It has a stupid cast, except Chow Yun Fat. I mean, they cast one of the biggest retards in movie history as Goku, I only know this dude from War of the Worlds, and guess what? He can't act for shit and just by watching him it makes me wanna bash his head in with a baseball bat. They also made Piccolo white/yellow, what kind of shit is that? The dude looks like Piccolo yeah, but Piccolo was green not yellowish. This movie is going to be very weak at the box-office, and it's probably gonna suck too. I used to be a real DB/Z fan, and deep inside I still am. I just can't see any hope for this project, it looks destined to fail. I still hope it's gonna turn out decent but I'm not expecting much, to be honest. Again, the movie that made the most money at the box office is Titanic, if I'm correct The Dark Knight still hasn't beat it. The Dark Knight is the movie that made most money on opening night though. I highly doubt a movie like Dragonball can beat that... Regardless of that, I'm going to watch it just to see how it turns out. I know the movie may not have all the hardcore fan aspects of the anime and I'm as pissed as the next guy that Krillin wont be in it and that Piccolo is yellow but remember this is a movie if it was exactly like the anime do you know how stupid it would look? Even The Dark Knight, hasn't made the most money in history. You really think it is halfway possible that DBZ would make more money then The Dark Knight? Think that theaters would be packed to see it? I don't even expect 10% of the fanbase to see this movie then TDK got. |

Yeah, I can't see who their audience is. Dragonball fans? Obviously not General anime fans? I'm pretty sure they too resent it Young kids? I'm not sure of the rating but I think it would probably be 15 so no. Young adults? Maybe, but I think most of them will think 'Dragon Ball is lame' so again, no The older generation? No So who? Exactly, I actually got into a long drawn out debate on this with somebody. They totally turned off their normal fan base by changing it everything around. It was almost like they were trying to change it to some specific demographic, but I don't know what that is anymore. The show is so old, I don't see very little kids flocking to the theater either. Tis why I think it'll be a huge flop because it really isn't specified for a certain group. |

Ok maybe breaking box office records is pushing it but I think you guys seem to be underestimating the popularity of DBZ and your're telling me that the fanbase of DBZ wont even be the least bit curios to see how the live action movie of there favourite anime turns out? Seriously everyone saying they wont go see it cos' it's butchered there favourite anime are all gonna be the same people sitting in the theatre on opening night.
