I always see people use them on MGO but I don't understand why... Why use the Mosin Nagant if it only tranquilizes instead of killing? when i get shot by one can't one my team mates just wake me up?... Can someone explain? (No I've never been shot by one although i see them ALL the time) |

I suppose stunning someone is considered more skillful. It's a more "stealthy" thing to do. Plus, you get more points for stunning people. |

I personally love it. The only reason i use it in MGO is because of my love for it in MGS4. It was just amazing. And also it can be very handy in certain modes. (like base or in certain maps i suppose) I like to run around with it in MGO. It can be pretty handy. |

I use it from time to time, just for fun. It's kinda a challenge for me, so If I do well with it, I feel I have accomplished something.

In games like base you want to eliminate the opponent as long as possible, killing them will just send them to the spawn and they return. If you tranq 4 of their members it's easy to claim a lot of bases. But then again you need to be very skillfull. The reload on it just takes aaaaaaaaaaages. So a headshot is vital. |

I haven't played MGO for several weeks now, but when I did, I used to always use the mosin nagant. I'm naturally a sniper, so I've ALWAYS used sniper rifles. I started using the nagant after I once got taken down by one in a game. I realised that I stayed down much longer than I would've if I had been killed and also still had no idea where the enemy was due to the lack of kill-cam. After that I always used it and I found that combining it with lv3 monomania was great because my targets showed up on my team's screens, who often moved in and killed them (in some cases, I think it's headshots but not sure, they would continue to show up to my team the entire time they were asleep, rather than just the few seconds they normally would). In the event that I did get spotted, tranqing them left them open for me to get a kill as well, so more points for me. |

I think that people tend to use the Mosin for a challenge. I find it quite hard to use anyway, and you have to be a pretty good sniper to use effectively IMO. In SNEAKING allot of people use the Mosin when controlling Snake. I think its more effective in this instance as kills as Snake don't really get you anything, but stuns do (Dog Tags). |
