I was really excited about it and i did find it quite a bit of fun to begin with and im not going to pay £10 for each expansion pack,i think that if you havent played it yet u should though as everyone has got their own opinion |

Yeah you're right. I mean look at other games. COD4 had decent maps but people began to get a bit bored of them. SO they brought out new maps about 6 months after COD4 was released, and they were great. 10 Euro for 1 pack. No more. And Unreal Tournament 3: Free map packs on PSN. That's great. But 10 Euro for a pack every few months? Nope. |

I'm starting to get a little bored of it now as well. I think it would be so much more fun if people played it like a TACTICAL shooter instead of thinking that this is Goldeneye or something. Its not just confined to MGO though, it happens in almost every online tactical shooter i can think of. Bring tactics into MGO and maybe you'll have more players who actually ENJOY playing, thats what I think. |

It also has to do with the people you play with. I haven't done as much of survival but have been in quite some TDM and TSNE free battle games. Some are horrible with spawnkilling and all kinds of gameplay that of course is allowed but not fun. Some games have been great, either on the winning or losing team I had a lot of fun sometimes even thinking to myself "damn he's good" or "that was smart!". I'm not a FPSer, I like it sneaking and stuff. Get into a 12 man game with some people who play to have fun and you'll have a great evening. Get into survival or any game for that matters with people who don't enjoy teamwork and play like asses and you'll MGO for it. I still enjoy it, but then again I have a lot to learn. |

Yeah, it mostly has to do with the people I play with. FPSers suck, period. I can't stand them and no, its not because I can't take losing. I just cant stand any player treating this game as an FPS and disregarding the tactical element to this game. Spawn killing is nearly as bad as deliberate team killing and I've seen my fair share of BOTH. I never spawn kill, its cowardly and can ruin the experience for anyone, me included. But like you, I've had a few of those games that have renewed my faith in the game but those games are few and far between unfortunately. By any chance, are you on the EU servers? I wouldnt mind pitting myself against a fellow tactical player.

Haha, i cant say i didnt see this one coming, and for a multitude of reasons.... 1.) you people never learn. first with MGO, then MPO and even MPO+. Konami just doesnt care if hackers ruin the games. they never do anything real about it, except play with the god damn tilde character 2.) online transactions are always a bad thing. why should i pay to get the game and THEN pay for upgrades? stupid stupid stupid. but yet, people fall for it and pay money for an expansion, and then 2 months later konami comes out with a new one. I knew that this was a bad idea the moment i heard about it and its proven me right. 3.) You are never going to find people who are going to play the game the way the trailers show it. I would love to play MGO the way the trailers show it, but im realistic. If people are going to start playing it like an FPS, ill just play that way too. Until Konami manages to make MGO the way it should be (which they wont, because they wont even take care of glitchers), this who Metal Gear Online experiment is a huge failure. |

LOL yeah I am  Maybe we could get a game on with a few players. Busy forming a friend-team / clan soon and have some games with them in survival and just games for fun among each other.PS back to the original subject, what I do HATE about the game is the after round CQC thing  what the bleep is that about? Suddenly a teammate starts throwing you around the level. Come on people!!!!

No, but I really wish it wasn't so crap. It's fun to play and everything, but between lag, server errors and credit card refusals it just gets irritating.

I don't see whats wrong with the price. Idk, I guess I just don't mind. I love MGO and the MGS series, I'd buy it even if it was like $30, lol. Thats just me though. I'll gladly fork up the money for the next expansion.

I love MGO, but I get exactly what you mean. It can get incredibly boring at times. When you havent played in ages and then go back to it, it seems fun again. Personally, I think that Konami got away with murder when they called the package with MGS4 a 'Starter Pack'. In my opinion that means 'INCOMPLETE GAME THAT WE HAVEN'T FINISHED OR REALLY TRIED WITH, THAT WE MAY ADD TO WHEN WE CAN BE ARSED'. The 'Starter Pack' should have had ALLOT more features, special characters, game types, maps (etc) to begin with. Paying £10 for one or two more maps and two characters that no one really cares about (Johnny and Meryl) is yet another robbery from Konami. We should have had characters like Liquid Ocelot and Raiden available from the very beginning. If Konami had bothered to add these features, I'm sure that the game would have a much longer lifespan. Of course, the idea of adding these characters probably DID cross the minds of those at Konami. But as normal, they saw a money opportunity and will be handing us (I imagine) one character after another with each small expansion pack, starting with the most boring characters, game types and maps first. I've been away from MGO for 3 weeks. Missed it bad (my internet connection was cut for a brief period). Got back on it last Sunday. Was re-hooked immediately, but already (3 days later) I can't bear to look at the game again at the moment. I am now officially bored of MGO as well.  Konami, release MEME NOW!! |

Haven't played in awhile and got back on last night to play a couple of rounds and there was only about 500 peeps in 1 server and less than 100 in another. Just last week and since release there had been over 900+ peeps in at least 2 servers and a few other servers with 100+. Where did everybody go? Move on to another game? SOCOM? |

I ain't sick either but I just wished more people were on AUTOMATCHING even though I have no problem finding a good game in FREE BATTLE.
