Gears Of War 2 comes out in November, there has been quite few videos regarding this game on gametrailers.com and ign.com. I for one am excited about this game. I enjoyed the first one, took a while for me to actually get into it. But its gonna be a great game probably one of the best games of the year for the 360. NOTE: i understand that most of you all have ps3's which is fine, im aware of that. This is in no way a console war topic.. i think the arguments over which console is better is fuckin stupid. I just want to see if any of you are fans of the games. |

Why is this in Music Chat? Also, I played some Gears of War a while back on the Xbox, it was pretty good. It wasn't as awesome as everyone is saying, but I enjoyed it. I don't have a Xbox360 so I'm not really looking forward to it, from what I've seen it kinda looks the same as 1. They just pimped up the graphics and added some more detail to the story. |

Wrong section I think  .I have the first Gears of War and I personally think its an amazing game. Its my 3rd favorite game on the 360 and probably my favorite shooter of this generation. I don't have much hope for its sequel though. It looks pretty much the same at the first. It just seems like Gears of War with new maps. Edited by Roy Campbell, Sep 29 2008, 06:24 PM.

LOL perhaps hahahaha The first Gears is overrated by standards set now.. but when the 360 first launched that game was the "bomb" at the time. But when you play something like Call Of Duty 4 the first Gears game can't add up...but its still a sweet game regardless. If the second one is as good as the first i'll be spending some time playing thats for sure. I think im the only guy on this board that has a 360 lol.. unfortunately i don't have a PS3. I got GOW for PC, with the extra levels, I didn't like it. It was the first thing I bought with my paper money, and I really didn't like it. I don't have hopes for the sequel. |

I thought Gears of War was hugely over exaggerated as a game. I was right. I don't have a 360, but if I did, it wouldn't be top odf my christmas list. Oh by the way, I have completed gears of war a few times, so I do know what I'm talking about. |

^ congrats on knowing what you're talking about. i see how some people wouldn't like it, they are far better games that are coming out (Resident Evil 5) that look alot better. But i'm gonna pick it up, its a solid buy. |

Why thank you. I did like the first game, but I just think there are better games out there. As will there be when GoW2 comes out. So it's not really worth buying a 360 for. But given the option, I would play on it. |

I didn't enjoy the original, from interviews with the developers I got that this game was supposed to be grissly "real" like a jacked up form of a real military fire fight were it was find cover or die, but emerged was some shit where people were "bum rushing" to weapons so they could pop your head (literally I'm not joking) in 2 seconds after getting that weapon... The singleplayer was hum drum but was still a nice play through, not exciting but still fun... Gears in a way was indeed over hyped, yet that still didn't condemn it... Aside from that, what I am excited about the second Gears of War is the "horde" mode where you and 4 other friends have to fend of ever increasing harder wave of locusts in multiplayer maps, which brings me to my next point, BOTS!, finally I can play offline and not against those fucking glitchers (no better then hackers in my opinion)... My major hope for this game is that they revamp the multiplayer aspect of it to bring it too where I was originally told it was going to be... As KKARBO said it's not worth buying an 360 (there are other titles that coerced me into getting one) but it sure hell is a nice treat (of many) once you do... |

its not worth buying a 360 for thats for sure. WHen i bought mine there were more games out that i wanted for the 360 instead of the PS3. But with MGS4 out that is a game that is worth buying a console for. |

I played and beat the first GOW quite a few times, and three of those times were with friends. If I remember correctly it was my first 360 game. When I saw the first GOW2 video I thought it looked exactly like the first and was sort of disinterested, but at lunchtime today I checked out a bunch of new vids, and I must say, it looks like I'll have to hook the 360 back up. So far it looks like they've done good with the sequel. I hope it lives up to the hype. |

Hmmm...I don't wanna start a fight, but I think GoW is abit well, over hyped. It's not a bad game, but it's nothing special, it's just a typical 3rd person FPS, with more added gore an that's all, the story line is really flat and grey, since we've seen kick ass space marines an alines in almost every FPS game there is. like Halo 3, GoW2 is gonna be really over hyped and again, they'll be wars with people saying that it's great or sucks major balls |
