I'm Having so much trouble getting past the special missions the main one is "get to the advance point before the time runs out. I either get security base or airport and when i get a map that I'm used to, the advance point is not in the same spot. In Security Base you have to go under the whole map and do the crawling which takes like 5 mins and i only got like 2 nd a half minutes to complete it =0. Also in airport the locked doors are starting to annoy me like hell >.< I no you can get a soldier and unlock the door but....IT DOESN'T WORK. Can some one please clone me a bait or headhunter with decent HP STAM and CQC stats thx my best headhunter has like 195hp and 242 stam =/ and bait like 200hp, I got plenty of baits to use but they are all crap. Another thing is that I found a 3 star High Official and he dropped magazines (high Hp) when i looked at him in my capture unit all his stats where crap inluding Hp (212) and stam (242) he had like all c's in Rifle sub and snipe I was so damn disapointed. Don't put anybody in your spy team or just put all baits in your spy team/medical team/technical team. It will get you good soldiers. I don't play infinity anymore since i don't have the time |

baits doesn't work in tech/med/spy teams. but be sure that you don't put anyone with spy career in the spy team. it weakens the soldiers you find |

No, the arms dealer career won't weaken your enemies or do anything to them what so ever, they will put weapons around various stages for you to pick up, and maybe a pair of Thermal Goggles or Night Vision Goggles, also you might get traps, like claymore mines and TNT.

Someone PM'd me today about Infinity Foxhound, here's the exact convo I sent to him, can't be arsed to edit, if it needs it, which I doubt. Well here is a video (there's like 6 parts I think) http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/raijin%2Bmofo/video/x3yous_mpo-extreme-mode-foxhound-part-1_videogames That's not me but it is a Foxhound Run. My tips are: Learn where all the exit points are (I know every single one) Study the radar to spot where the exit is (no matter how faint it is, it can be spotted all the time), knowing where it is is half the problem. Get a Cardboard Box! Shake down as many SEAL's as possible, they're fantastic, an Athlete equipped with a cardboard box runs faster, especially up and down ramps Use a Fox soldier, they appear in most stages. Athlete career helps, but not essential. C in CQC = fail, if you can't choke out an enemy you're useless. Foxhound rank requires 0 kills, 0 alerts, 12 recruits (roughly) so 12 recruits in 20 stages is roughly 1 recruit every other stage so you don't have to recruit everyone in sight, prisoners on the map are a great and quick way to increase recruits. Sorry to babble on here but if you go through to stage 16 then to 17, you've missed 3 stages of soldiers so it is slightly more than a soldier every other stage, BUT, you can recruit a minimum of 3 tengu's on the last stage (all four if you're really good, difficult though) so you only need 9 recruits from stages 1-19 which is a soldier every other stage. This is a technique to save time, hard to explain but here we go. Run from behind an enemy, straight at them, they will turn (they heard you) you bump in to them and quickly grab them and choke them out. Done right alert mode NEVER goes off. Unless it is Caution or Evasion mode. But, if you do it to a soldier who screams (Male/Female Scientists, High Official and Maintenance Crew) alert mode won't go off BUT other soldiers from nearby WILL come to see if he is ok. Good luck. Also try and find the purple point on stage 14, it takes you to stage 16, and you go through the advance point without being seen and you cut out a few stages. |

Yes I do understand YOU don't understand. ALL XP is based on the Rank you get after completing Infinity Experience gained by the sneaking team and support units are based on rank. If you mean the small, nominal amounts of XP you get from getting to the truck (stage 5, 10 and 15) then I think you miss some for skipping 15 BUT, you should get a better rank if you skip it due to being seen less though. |

Ok, here's the extent of my Infinity Mission Experience. PREPARATION: Units Spy Unit 1. The top priority is to make sure you have 99 Reconnaissance level, and 0 Assistance level. Reconnaissance level at 99 means you can see items on your Surround Indicator. They appear as green dots. Assistance level means you're using spies and spies lower the HP of soldiers in the mission, so you have less chance of finding that elusive 400 hp! 2. Next, you want as many Arms Dealers as possible. Finding weapons in-mission makes it easier to hold up enemies. 3.This means job priority: Surveyor, Arms Dealer. Then, any other Spy unit careers. Then, Spy itself. Also, try and get as many soldiers with multiple spy careers as possible. Tech Unit 1. The main career is Arms Specialist. More ammo is good in anyone's book. Then, Elite Engineer. More powerful equipment means better equipment around the stage. 2. Engineer- not so useful. unless you're really into Mine D's or NVG or something. Stealth, yeah, it's an option, but it's not common enough. Med Unit 1. Priority is Para-Medic. 3 Medical careers=win. 2.Next, round up any and all multiple-med career soldiers. 3. If there are any spaces left, choose Chemists. Notes: With the Medical/Technical stats (A, B, C, etc), they do increase your medical and technical levels, but those levels don't actually give you any sort of bonus or benefit. Sneaking Unit 1. Get 3 Baits. Straight up. If you're on Extreme, and you have at least 3 Baits, then you'll see at least 1 S3 every play through. If any are Deliveryman career as well, pick them. 2. If you can, find any soldier with B or above in CQC, with Headhunter. High HP and stamina are pretty important too. INFINITY MISSION: Ok, now all that crap is over with, down to business. Stages 1-5: Objectives- Survive, Gather supplies, Avoid detection. (or, 'Deliveryman's first great accomplishments!') Try to stock up on as many Rations and Medical kits as possible. Study the enemy soldiers' patrol carefully, and exploit any blind spots. As soon as possible, grab a guard from behind and choke him/her into unconsciousness. Take all supplies. Once you have a weapon, you can hold up enemy guards and take up to four items from them. Aim for the head in First-Person View to make them shake the items out one at a time. Though with a shotgun, you can aim anywhere at them to make them shake. People are terrified of shotguns for some reason. A lowdown on Special Stages: 1. Survive until time runs out. Pretty simple. Infinite Alert, and the timer starts at 1:30.00- find a choke point or a dead end, and throw down/ grab and choke any soldiers who come after you. Finding the Advance Point at the end of the 1:30 may be tricky, due to the frenzy of Alert Mod activity, so make sure you have plenty of Medical Kits going into the special stage. 2. Get to the Objective (Guards) You have an unlimited amount of time to make your way to the Advance Point. However, being spotted even once (Alert Mode) means failure, and ejection from the mission. Cautions do not count. Take all the time you need, and don't lose your cool. It's very close to an Intermission, and you can't afford to lose it. 3. Get to the Objective (No Guards) Time: 1:30 or 2:00 (i can't remember) Ok, so there's no guards, yeah party time right? Well, there's about 20 gun cameras and several Claymore mines scattered about the area. Sometimes, on a larger map, the objective is unclear, because the cameras give off a lot of sound on the Surround Indicator. If you have a lethal weapon, shoot the damn cameras and mines. They'll shut up, and hopefully give you a chance to find the Advance point before tome runs out. 4.Eliminate all enemies No time limit. Pretty simple again- eliminate every enemy on the map, Alert mode will be in effect the entire time. Just try not to stay out in the open, where multiple enemies can put the hurt on you at once. Find a room, or a dead end, and get to work. Stages 6-10: Objectives- Equip your soldiers, Survive, and Get those Recruits! (or, 'Diamonds in the Rough') Your Headhunter comes to life in these stages, as the soldiers become more powerful and have higher chances of sporting either Magazines (high HP) or Textbooks (S3 stat). The only way to ensure you get an S3 is to look at them for a length of time in First person View with a Headhunter. The box on the top right will cycle through the weapons that soldier is proficient in, but will stick on the one stat if that's all they're good at. If a stat is red, then that stat will, without a doubt, be trainable to S3 (or be on it already). Intermissions: It's definitely time to take stock and assess the situation. Take a look at the soldiers and equipment you've gathered, and heal up your team. Use all medical supplies possible to heal your team and raise stamina again, even if all supplies are used up. You can always get more later. Next, redistribute weapons and supplies to all your team mates. If you need to, definitely save and come back to the game later. No use getting yourself worked up over it. Stages 11-15/16: Objectives- Survive, Keep looking for Recruits, and Prepare for Special Stage! (or, 'We hit the Jackpot on this one!') More powerful enemies, and powerful potential recruits. S3 soldiers and Magazine droppers are even more prevalent, so don't let that Headhunter take a breather! Remember to keep it slow, analyse the enemies' patrol routes, and exploit them. You should be neutralising all guards between you and your objective- you never know when you'll have to backtrack and knowing the path is clear makes it easier on you. Also, don't be shy to grab whatever takes your fancy. Want or need some more Tengus? Knock yourself out (or rather, knock them out. And drag 'em back to the truck). The Bonus Stage (Purple Waypoint) When you reach Stage 14, two waypoints instead of the usual one will appear on the Surround Indicator. The Red Waypoint, or Regular Waypoint, will lead you to stage 15, a Special Stage, after which you will proceed to an Intermission. The Purple Waypoint, or Bonus Waypoint, will lead you to the 'Stage 16' Bonus stage, the Control Room. Here, one of two things will occur. 1.The room is full of items. Rarely happens, but when it does you'll be glad you have a Deliveryman. Have him.her scoop up all the items, sending to the truck everything except what you want to keep, ie Rations or Medical kits. Sometimes, rare weapons like the MK22, Mk23 or M4 SOPMOD will be there. 2.The room is full of soldiers. Far more common. You will start on a raised platform behind the soldiers, who are performing calisthenics on the main floor below. Soldier types will vary, from Tengus, High Tech Soldiers, SEALs, Genomes, and Soviet Females mixed with female doctors. There is a way to knock them all out and recruit them without being spotted. First, there's an MK22 and MK23 directly in front of you at teh beginning. Snatch up the MK22 and run left, all the way along the wall, to emerge with the soldiers on your right. If you are not camouflaged by type from them, stalk up behind them and choke them all. if you beginning to run out of time, shoot the last eight in the back of the head to send them to sleep. If you have a Rescuer, it's time for them to do their job, as the soldiers you knocked out first will be fairly close to awakening once you've dispatched the last. There is a fairly high rate of good soldiers in the Bonus Stage, with at least one having worthy abilities. The Bonus Stage forces you to skip the Stage 15 Intermission, and throws you into Stage 16. Don't go into the Purple Waypoint if you don't think you can handle it. Stages 16-19: Objectives: Survive, Don't Stuff it up now! (or, 'The stakes are even higher and if you blow it, you're facing the firing squad.') This is the best place to look for powerful enemies. Potentially, every single stage from here to finish may contain an S3 soldier. It's up to you whether you want to grab them and risk alerts, or maintain your rank (which, at this point, is ideally Fox or FOXHOUND). You should have no trouble with supplies, and now it's just a case of keeping cool. Stage 20: Objectives: Survive! (or, 'If I fail now I swear you're all going to pay!') Ok, the final stage. If all has gone well, you haven't died at all, haven't killed anybody, haven't been spotted, you've gotten some great new recruits, some good weapons, are fully stocked up on HP and Stamina and have enough Rations and Medical kits to last you through. Long list, yeah. But now it comes down to this. You vs. some pretty powerful Tengu Soldiers. As with the Special Stages, find a dead end, preferably with a blind spot, and take them out with the MK22 or with choking. If you want to capture them, find a dead end with a box nearby so you can radio for pickup. If you want to capture ALL of them, you need to grab them, shuffle over to the box using the Tengu as a hostage, choke him and repeat. But, when you get the final soldier, drag him to the box and get ready. when he is unconscious, wait for the wreath symbol that says MISSION COMPLETE! to disappear, them press SELECT and call for pickup. If you do it right, the soldier will be recruited just before the screen goes black. After-Mission Report: So, now that you've completed Extreme, you'll receive a hefty chunk of experience, as well as a random Textbook and a random soldier. (Though if it is your first time completing the mission, you will get Roy Campbell instead) Enjoy, for to the victor goes the spoils. -High-Tech Soldier. |
