Yeah I voted for Metallica on those two categories that they're in. All the other bands pretty much suck and Metallica deserves it. On the other hand, I don't really care that much but it would be cool to see Metallica win.

It probably will, on MTV or something. I voted Rock/(Sell) out: Metallica. Ultimate urban: Refused to vote. Act of 2008: Rihanna. Yeah, probably doesn't deserve it, but she's quite attractive, so... New act: Refused to vote. Most (shitty) addictive song: Refused to vote. Headliner: Foo fighters. Album of the year: Refused to vote. 2008 shall be known as a dire year in music. Still, even underground bands are pretty shitty at the moment. The only good bands that are around are ... uum... Rage against the machine? Even so, they have only been a group again for a few months. |

That's not really true, there are tons of bands that are new and good, you only have to know where to look. Sure, there were way better bands in say the 60's/70's/80's and the 90's, but there are still a few good bands around. All in all it's also a matter of personal opinion really. And yeah, like you said, there are still some old legends going at it. ACDC for one, they're in the progress of releasing a new album. I checked out the first single and it sounds pretty good. They're also going on a world tour after. ZZ Top are still touring, that's also a pretty damn good band. Also bands that started around 2000 are good. Take Eagles of Death Metal, they're about to release their third album and are touring, or gonna tour. You also still have Queens of The Stone Age going at it, alright they technically started in the 90's, but so what? My point is, there are plenty of good bands still out there. Of course you're not gonna like them all, but that's a matter of opinion. Sorry for the off-topic post

Trust me, in England, most bands are shit at this moment in time. Although I probably could find some decent bands if I tried. But I cba when there are a few good commercial bands around. No need to go all crazy, man. I was just saying that most new bands are crap. I don't have the time to check every band out. |

Crazy?  Haha, nah man, I wasn't mad at what you said or whatever. Sorry if it seemed that way. On Topic: Yeah, I pretty much agree with rain. It's MTV, they're music awards have pretty much always sucked. Mostly cause everything is very commercial and all, hence why I only really voted on two categories. |
