It's all opinion isn't it. I like Wonderwall but apart from that, I must say I despise Oasis. That's my opinion. They are hugely overrated. Can't get into any of their other songs myself and I'd like it if I never heard anything by them ever again...apart from Wonderwall. There's a reason that's their most famous, or one of their most famous songs.

Oasis are rich and famous because they sample all of their songs. And by that I mean ALL of their songs. And that Noel Gallagher thinks he's some sort of a king in every picture and interview.

Basically, my opinion is this: Oasis SUCK!

I can't stand either Noel or Liam. They are an embarrassment to Manchester as far as I'm concerned. Noel gets on my nerves so much even though I know I shouldn't take anything he says seriously at all.

I don't remember how recently it was but he was slagging off the Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party. Now I like FF and the Kaisers, never really listened to Bloc Party, but whether it's your type of music is not the point, it's the fact the he thinks he can label anyone else 'shit' just because he thinks he and Oasis are the biggest thing sliced bread. The man has an over-inflated sense of self worth and an ego to match it. As far as I'm concerned he and his brother will always be a pair of car thieves from Burnage. And I'll buy drinks all night for the guy who pushed Noel off stage.

As for their music, not fan. Not because of who they are, but because it just doesn't speak to me. One or two I like. The only one that springs to mind is "Where Did It All Go Wrong."

And is that because they are Manchester City fans by any chance? :P

*Who the fuck are Man Utd?* ^_^

Oh and 'Dig Out Your Soul' is amazing. The best album since Icky Thump in early 2007 I think. Awesome stuff.

"Who the fuck are Man United" is sung by United fans anyway. Sung more than "Glory Glory Man United." I certainly remember singing it vs Roma back in February.

And no it's not because they're city fans, I think Jason Manford is a funny guy, from Manchester, supports city yet I still think he's funny.

Back on topic:

Have Oasis ever made one song that is not sampled? They are called here The Sample Band...

What do you mean 'sampled'? Are you refering to them putting 'Dig You Your Soul' on myspace? Its the first time they've done so, so how can you call them a sample band?...

@the comic: Never heard of achewood before but funny stuff. Why do Oasis sound like a mix between a Scouser and a Conkney rather than a Mancunian though?

Because they like to exaggerate the strength of their "working class" accent when the truth is they've hardly done a days work in their lives and spent more time behind the wheel of some poor bloke's nicked motor than actually grafting?

Yes Oasis are over, but I still like them and they are a good band.

They have that kind of witty humour, similar from Top Gear or QI, or Have I got News for You. Anyone who doesn't like that type of humour is a twat, or is American. I find them funny, and like a few of their songs. They have been going for a while now which is an achievement agaisnt bands of this decade.

However they are over rated. I like a few of their songs, but I HATE some. They make me cringe, its wierd. Lila nearly made me puke. Cast no Shadow and Little by Little are great songs.

Well, technically, I've never heard any of their songs, just one or two maybe, but it is said that they almost sample all of their songs, just like Kanye West samples his.

That's what they are known for, atleast here in Sweden. But still, no one listens to them over here. They listen more to Coldplay, The Hives, The Caesars, those bands.

If you believe Liam and Noel are witty, I really doubt you have, or know the meaning of the word wit. Comparing them to Stephen Fry is a laugh. He is actually intelligent.

Bbbbrrrrr what!?

Like kkarbo said, they are far from 'witty'. If thats the case, any wanker who drinks over 7 pints in a pub and voice his opinion and in a 'HILARIOUS' condescending arse like fashion is now 'witty'

Also; Jeremy Clarkson is also a bellend.

Similar to Top Gear? Atleast you can get what Clarkson, May and Hammond are saying. If you sit with the Gallagher brothers you wouldn't understand half of the things that comes out of their mouths. Half of it would've been curses, that's for sure.

To me, THEY are the twats.
