we all know that hal had feelings for the fem fatal sniper wolf but do you think that she had any intimate feelings for him or do you think that she just saw him as a friend or maybe a pest. maybe he just had a crush on her? what do you guys think

yeah, i highly doubt that she had the same feelings as hal did for her i think maybe she felt like he was a little brother or just a good friend, but not a lover |

doubt it, she didnt say anything at all to him when she was about to die so I dont think she cared much. probably liked him cause he was funny and all, but nothing more than that. thats what I think

I think she just "liked" Hal because they both liked the Wolf Dogs, and off and on Sniper Wolf would let him feed them, and Hal probably took that out of context, and liked her for that, where I think Wolf probably thought Hal was just someone nice to talk too. |

I think he got stockholme syndrome and thought he was in love with her. As for Wolf I think she liked him as a friend and someone to talk to and plus he liked the dogs too so they shared something in common. |

I guess we'll never truly know, but I like to think that they had something. Sure he wasn't exactly a good catch, but its not rare to see attractive women with not so attractive men. Ever heard that George Fornby song. "If women like them like men like those, why don't women like me" |

Sniper Wolf felt nothing for Hal, she admired him and let him feed the wolves but that was it. It was purely a mutual friendship for her. Hal on the other hand became infatuated with her. In what way, it is not explained, but Hal does not form what could be called 'normal' and certainly not 'Conventional' relationships with other characters. I am certain I have explained in somewhere in-depth in another thread but Hal is a mulit-dimentional charactrer by design, boarderline genius and heavily emotionally damaged so never seems to have 'equal relationships' - there is always a difference in the 'power balance'. |

She didn't care for him enough to be distracted from her mission, scolding him to get out of the way of her second fight with Snake. As previously said, she did not care to mention him in her before death, either. The "love" was rather one sided. That below in the "spoiler" box pertains to Sons of Liberty. Spoiler: click to toggle

Definitely it was just a crash (from Otacon's side). He doesn't seem like the "aggressive" type Wolf would want to have on her side. Also no dialogue from Wolf indicates the opposite, so that's probably it. Just an "imaginary" relationship coming out of Otacon's head. |

I think that Sniper Wolfs mind was to empty for love. All she thought about was killing the target. That is it, that is what a sniper does.

You see, this opinion varies depending on whom you talk to. In the game there is NOTHING to suggest Wolf has any feelings for Hal other than a vague friendship. If, however, you read the graphic novel and the novel, they have both turned it into quite a different relationship. I think both suggest she felt the same, or if not the same, strongly. Now I know, as quite an experienced MGS player, not to trust the graphic novels and the novels. Game is cannon, game comes first, and this time around the game actually agrees with my theory on this (however, some of the Novels and comics twisting of events works really well, and I would certainly recommend them.) It is just interesting to note that other people see it in different ways. |
