Alright so as SOME may know I am new to MGS4 and MGO as of about a week. I beat MGS4 on TBE and have been getting on MGO havin fun but now getting frustrated. I have been noticing I can't kill shit with and rifles but people 1 shot headshot my ass soooo fast... and I try to figure out how they get so many headshots and so quick. I've tried all different weapons (M4, AK102, XMB, MK. 17) no luck :/ Is it they just are EXTREMELY good at somehow getting a headshot 95% of the time or what..? In this game it's essential to learn shooting headshots, because 1 hit to the head can kill. You should only play in the automatch or in servers with low-level players. Going against lvl 8 or higher in the first day is suicide, since most of them have mastered shooting headshots and have quick reflexes. Every weapon has a range from which 1 headshot kills Weapon / Meters GSR 7.2 Mk. 2 PISTOL58.1 OPERATOR8.0 G18c7.9 D.E. 19.9 Vz.8310.8 P90 14.4 MP5SD210.8 AK10228.9 M4 CUSTOM20.3 Mk. 1770+ XM8 25.4 M870 CUSTOM65.4 w/slug SAIGA1265.4 w/slug G3A370+ M60E470+ D.E. (L.B.) 31.1 XM8 COMPACT 22.1 Only spray if you are very close (few meters away) and it's still better if you can aim and quickly shoot the enemy with one shot in the head before he even has a chance to react. Aiming is important, of course you die quick if you aim at the enemy's stomach because he can take 4-12 shots before dieing and he has lot of time to aim for your head while you spray. it's because people have a lot of practice with it,you need to find a weapon that works for you or one you like,alot of people pick the m4 because it has low recoil but has terrible range and when you headshot someone it will only take out 99% of their health and is very weak,it's like firing off the GSR with a 30 round clip in rapid fire basically i prefer the ak because the range is a lot better and does a lot more damage and most players tend to just spray and pray for a shot to hit someone's head,you need to line up the recticle to the head and fire short bursts if your taking alot of damage or whenever really equip and unequip the box to avoid a headshot then take some more shots and repeat if your not good getting a HS fast,ducking also helps,take a few shots at their head if you miss duck and fire some shots off |

Try practising getting headshots in MGS4. It can be very useful especially since MGS4 and MGO use the same shooting system. |

I've found out that a good internet connection also helps. The lag I've seen yesterday in survival was rediculous. People are here and then there all of a sudden. Very irritating; I KNOW I shot someone in the head multiple times and still they don't even ligt up for being shot. I just don't understand the game somehow. A mate was here friday and he pointed out he had no such problems with his connection. |

Just grab 1 gun and stick stick to it, p90 good on headshots from close range, m4 good overall, svd sniper range headshots, it took me 40 hours of gameplay until I had near perfect reflexes , and another 20 to git gud, a made a new character and got Foxhound rather quickly. The key to MGO is play as a team and don't rush by yourself in an open place, don't stand still. |
