So anyone check out the trade paperback? I flipped through it at barnes and Nobles and was tremendously dissapointed. I already had the first 6 issues before i moved, so I just read the second half, and...It looks like Wood really rushed things. The first 6 issues, he played with colors brilliantly. But the second half *after Ray surfaces* just goes an ugly grey-black and darkdarkDARK navy. The climax of this series seems to focus on the fight on the bridge. The whole last hour of the game happens in 2 issues. The ending is handled better than the game though, we actually SEE arsenal gear hitting manhattan, instead of like in the game, when you are just "suddenly" on the top of city hall. *NOTE: there is a cutscene of arsenal hitting manhattan, however it was removed due to 9/11 sensitivity. I am currently unaware of anyway to view it* so overall, the series starts off great, but the end will leave you a bit underwhelmed if you were expecting a big flashy end. I wanna see how this translates to the DGN. 8/10 |
