Don't use the shotgun skill because theres not much point. If you use the shotgun at close range the first shot will knock the enemy down anyway, making them a easy kill.

One more question. Does anyone use aim assist? I don't and I was wondering if it helped at all.

Auto aim is good for shotgunning. Shoot them down, turn on AA and shoot them again. Easy kill :) (I've never tried this, I don't use shotguns)

Can you guys tell me some things?

- How can you even use / activate Auto aim?
- How do I buy a SOP Destab, and are there any requirements?
- Is it possible that I downgrade? I suck pretty hard lately, and I'm only level 7 but somehow I think I downgraded about 6 months ago..

Thanks in advance

press square in game (I think anyway)
You may only buy them in certain matches (base etc.)
Yes you can downgrade in level and Grade. I went down to 12 yesterday, got back to 13 and then 12 again

Also from wat I learned in TSNE, don't be afraid to make rotations. around the enemy as long as you attempt to out guess them. I usually do this in unranked games and against level 14-19s. It works 35% of the time. Like on M.M. I rotate long (through the tunnels that take you on top of the garage, then I throw a chaff, and then back off into the enemy spawn momentarily for me to go around to make the cap or flank any enemy who have possibly have where abouts of my teammates insurgence, but other than that I suck and need more practice at the rotation strat.)

And about the leveling down and up I am stuck between levels 8-12 because my skills fluctuate. I am good on certain days and bad on others.

Any one here want to train a noob for some sort of reward? I wish I could give money but I am not rich.
Maybe a hook up to the greatest gaming porject for PC, if you are into PC gaming? IDK, something.

You turn autoaim on in gameplay options then when in game, you can toggle it by pressing square. It really is very useful when used properly, it's not at all 'noobish', it's part of the game. I use it when people are right next to me and i have no time to aim normally, also good when people are close and are low on health, also boxpoppers.

So I give up. I dont understand how these "pros" get the quick head shots. Do they just play so damn much that they know exactly how to put the circle around your head and they never miss? Do they put a piece of tape in the center of their screen like guys in mgs3 did? I have tried using assualt 3, the grip, runner 3 so its harder to hit me, but nothing I do seems to get me to the next stage. Im stuck at level 11 - 12 and constantly get owned by 14's and up so I dont know if I will ever get to level 13. I dont know what the hell im doing wrong. If I try to set the weapons to single shot they ace me before I can get another shot off and if its to auto the just dodge and weave until they line me up for the shot.

What can a guy do?
I feel your pain.

Getting more HS than I used to, but still can't just go "oh look, dude to left, BANG, sorted, next please!"

It's es[ecially annoying when you know for a fact you have your aim spot on, and you still miss because of the "recoil" even though you only fired a single shot. :hmm:

Anyways, VAMP and RAIDEN.....arg. Really can't get used to the whole camera thing. Having the camera set behind you checking, you see someone, first instinct, press L1. But no, you're still aiming the way they are looking. Suppose it stops people using Raiden behind able to spin round straight away and block, but still. The controls for them both suck.

An after though: I seem to find it harder to headshot people who don't use toughness, they just get knocked back alot of the time. Where as with toughness, there's no chance of that. :hmm:

How the hell do some of these guys get headshots so far away. I was sniping in MM from behind the car and a guy leans out from behind the building you can climb so I started moving around. He got me with three shots with the m4 before I knew what happened. Are they using hawkeye or do they just shoot that well?

For this, it is probably some1 using a Acog 4x scope possibly coupled with a grip. the scope allows greater headshot range as well as greater accuracy at range.

The skill set i have been using as of late is AR 2 and CQC 2. i personally like the AK 102 more than the M4 as is it has better headshot range and is more accurate in a long stretch. also it costs less DP. I only use the M4 when i am Snake and even then i prefer a gun i steal from some1 else even tho most of those are still M4's. The gun i use the most is probably the XM8 for the great accuracy and high fire rate and a dot scope on it. i also use the Mk.17 because of the great power and range it has on it. one time i got a double headshot with it all the way down one of the spawn alleys in M.M. with no scope or grip on it. sure it was luck but it just shows the power and penetration of the gun. another thing i think every1 should have is a Mk.II (tranquilazer pistol) because at any range a headshot will knock some1 out. if standing still it is as accurate as a sniper rifle and u can do a great trick with it if u are strafing against some1. what you do is tap L1 and R1 (MAKE SURE U HIT L1 FIRST otherwise u will punch the air and then probably get shot in the head) and you can shoot on the move without pause, this also works with a shotgun i have found and just about any gun that takes a action (moving slide, bolt, etc.) to fire again. another good tactic that i havnt seen posted here is that with a AR or shotty or SMG those are all CQC capable weapons. you can use a rifle bump to make an enemy stumble and with lvl 2 CQC that does about a bar and a half of stamina and if you hold the button you will slam the opponent to the ground. i dont know how much that does with CQC 1 or if you can even do it, but with CQC 2 it takes out three stamina bars and only leaves one left, with CQC 3 it knocks them out cold as well as disarming them with the rifle bump. this is invaluable for those surprise attackers that are in your face. even with CQC 2 that huge drop in stamina severely impacts your stamina, your reticle will start wavering and you will be quite inaccurate as well as being on the ground where they are an easy kill and most likely headshot, but keep in mind KEEP MOVING when they are on the ground prefferably up the shoulder side u have your gun on and go in a line up their body and almost surely headshotting them on the way. if youre going for bear (like me, but i domt know the sure requirements for) grab the enemy and drain their stamina just below where a throw would knock tmem out and throw them. yhis will get u more points towards bear. for lvl 1 CQC that is half a bar which can be difficult, lvl 2 CQC is 1 bar and lvl 3 CQC is 2 bars. when doing cqc or really anything look at the environment and where the enemy traffics and set up some ambush points. some examples are in the back of U.U. behind the brick sniper building on the guard rail side for attacking and in the little cubby hole opposite of the building back there for the defending. in M.M. i have found that in the middle building with all the stairs (should be obvious, the building where the meat of the fighting takes place) and on the second level (right above the ground floor) you can hide behind the wall on that landing and pan the camera so you can see down the stairs and you can be ready when some1 comes up, also you have an escape route our either window (dont worry the fall wont hurt you) and you can have back up or do a surprise attack on the other team.

For you snipers out there i have a good leaning strategy. i would say use training with some dolls to get used to the strategy, but i learned it the hard way on the battlefield while lvling my sniper skill. what u do is get behind a box, corner, bilboard, ect. and go into first person view and lean out about head or chest level depending on what gun you have. you can hang out in a lean to spot targets but if you miss your initial shot or have a sniper pinning you down ESPECIALLY if they are camping you and looking at your corner you pop out for a split second and fire and if you miss think in your mind where your reticle was and adjust BEHIND COVER. after a shot or 2 you should have your headshot most likely without damage, but good snipers can still hit you and that is a big deal, gage your enemy sniper and especially what gun they have, if its a m14EBR then you are most likely safe, SVD still isnt too bad but does more damage than a M14, DSR-1 dont fool around with, if you dont hit on second shot i would suggest moving to a different location without the DSR-1 seeing you, but i wouldnt suggest behind a crate because a DSR-1 will go through it as well as many other snipers (thinking M.M. here). the VSS is a great gun that if you have the DP go for it. it is a kind of slow automatic rifle that has the power and range of a sniper, versatility of an assault rifle, and is silenced right out of the shiny plastic wrap, another great feature is that you can equip tranqualizer darts on it and knock people out, though it is for a reletively hefty price of 2000 DP piled apon the cost of the gun itself.

Now, on to the special characters. I will be focusing on the TDM special characters and not sneak. first are the 2 most used special chars in the whole game, Raiden and Vamp. These are two very potent characters. Raiden is most famous for his sword which he can block any incoming bullets accept (IMPORTANTLY) to his feet when he is standing, but while crouching he blocks all bullets to the front. there are 4 easy tactics to get passed this
1.throw a grenade
2.get behind him and shoot him in the head
3.grab him and choke him out while he is running at you (i have found this to work EXTREMELY well as seeing that most Raiden players are soloing in your side of the map)
4.wait for him to start trying to slash you with his sword and shoot him in the head while he is attacking. This is a slightly risky menouver when going up against a skilled Raiden opponent because they will be more used to the range of the sword, but i have made this work many times. on the flip side raiden players only have to hit you TWICE to kill someone so dont go into a blind combo that does all the attacks because it stops you in your tracks on the 4th slash and you are an easy target for some1 to shoot you, so only tap the R1 button twice.

Vamp is known for his tri knife throw and being able to respawn where he died. all you have to do is shoot him in the head, but be cautiouse as a good vamp player knows how to utilize all of the dodging tecniques, for the 2 side dodges while holding L1 make you impervious to damage, even grenades. the back dodge is pretty much useless in my opinion but the front dodge is where it can get tricky for people in front of Vamp. this "dodge" does a forward Axe Kick (i take Taequando) into a player and knocks them down and making a easy kill.

Snake in TDM is my fav. he has lvl 3 of all weapons, CQC EX, CQC 3, and i think he has a limited version of Octo Cammo (not sure on this). The skills should say it all if you havnt played sneak.

Liquid Ocelot is really the same as Snake (as far as i can tell) with the acception that he doesnt have Octo Cammo, and he has his pistol hand that controls the SOP system and makes it so you cant fire your guns, the alt fire for this make ocelot "shoot" himself in the head knocking any1 out in a certain range.

A neat thing i found out by chance that i havnt seen posted anywhere is when you sit still in a box and you regain stamina, this can be quite usefull when you only have a bar left of stamina

okay, im done rambling and i hope this helps every1!

One of the most inportant tips is in the options settings, make sure that your camera speed is on 10, fpv around 6-7 and shoulder switch is 10.

These are by far the most important tips on the game for becoming a pro this is the reason why all the big boys can shoot so fast and effectively.

Answer is simple. Pro players know where their aim is within a few millimeters at ALL times, and therefore can boxpop kill you from totally silly ranges. It's pretty simple, try running around in CT trying to place your aim BEFORE you press L1, and keep doing it. Use the moving targets as well.

Auto aim is good for shotgunning. Shoot them down, turn on AA and shoot them again. Easy kill :) (I've never tried this, I don't use shotguns)
Does toughness help by not getting shot down with a shotgun? At what level?

Also, I'd have to agree with him about the music. The music might be nice, but you get too distracted. For example, I was playing this song from MGS3 (such a classic) while playing SDM. What happened? I couldn't hear his damn footsteps behind me because of the music. Then there it was. A headshot and I was dead.
