What color would you say Big Boss's bandana is? I want to buy a bandana on MGO but it needs to match Big Boss's. I model my character after Big Boss so I don't want it to be off. |

Seeing as he originally obtains if from The Boss, after being thrown off the bridge in the beginning...  I would say, Black or Dark Slate Gray. BLACK:  DARK SLATE GRAY:  And I see where you're getting at with trying to copy Big Boss. I was soon about to create the same topic, as soon as I got enough Reward Points for a bandanna! Alright thanks. I couldn't decide if it was a greenish color or grayish color. Right now I have full-Splitter, with an eye patch and green beret. I want to get the bandana, Zombie face paint, and more when they release more Big Boss stuff. Thank you very much. The only problem I have is deciding if I should try to replicate Big Boss, or make a modern version (my name is Biggest Boss, like as in a successor to Big Boss). I'll post a pic of my character in a little bit. |

If you're on the North American Servers, I believe I've played with you plenty of times. XD Because I recall that name, it's pretty epic.   Personally, I think you should go for the 1960's Big Boss look. It just looks better in my opinion. And you're welcome.

Yep I'm on North American servers. I often talk about my (nearly dead) clan, that I'm in. I use phrases and stuff about them. MT, Manly Tears. I was going to go on tonight, but I may reconsider that. If I go on, it'll be around 10:30ish. I'll add you on MGO. I have yet to decide on which look though. I think I'm going to get the Command vest, once I get the bandana that is. |

If you're going for a Big Boss look, with the items we have available for us now, I would recommend this chest piece. VS.  It's about the closest you'll get. Although, I think it looks lame... I just recently bought the Shadow Moses colored SNAKE Vest, and it looks amazing. I love it. XD Very well spent 3,000RP in my opinion. |

I'm going to get the command vest in that color or black. I won't get that other piece you posted though because I'm going to wait to see if they release any MGS3 items such as Big Boss's vest! Lol Thank you again, should we maybe make our own MGO Big Boss thread? Like we post items that look like Big Boss's and post updates of how our characters look (i.e how close we are to reaching our goal of BB cloning). Lol Edit: I want those sleeves he has! I think you should get the Dark Slate Gray. That's the closest you'll get to Big Boss' color. I don't think they're going to release different colors for the bandanna any time soon anyway. OFF TOPIC:
That sounds like a good idea to me. But perhaps not just "Make Your Own Big Boss!" threads, how about others such as, OCELOT UNIT? They're a kickass unit that I've been wanting to imitate for a while now on MGO. |

I went with Dark Slate Gray, and I've got to say it does represent it better. My Clan Leader (Kobra! from Manly Tears) wears it also, his character looks a lot like Big Boss. |

How does slate gray represent Big Boss's bandanna better? Big Boss has an olive drab bandanna...and there is an olive drab bandanna available, therefore, logic would dictate that the olive drab bandanna would be a more accurate representation of the "Big Boss bandanna". **facepalm** Edit: Also, moved to MGO. |

I was having the same issue when I was buying my bandanna. I was almost positive that it was supposed to be black or a shade of black but it just didn't look right. I went through trailers and even played the game and at most points I thought it was black. But I couldn't bring myself to buy it because it didn't look right. Then I picked the OD bandanna and immediately I was like, yep, that's it. So that's the one I went with and I agree with sor here, I think its OD green. |

Dark slate grey is the closest. But at the end of the day, in game black and dark slate grey look pretty much the same. I doubt that anybody would say "That guy who just killed me wants to look like Big Boss, but has a BLACK bandanna! What a douche!". So I wouldnt let yourself get picky over it. Just get the dark slate grey one. |

I think your missing the point of the post there. The main point I think is that it really wont make any difference what colour it is as long as its close. Fretting over such a small thing is kind of silly imo.
