Anyone else sick of all the noob and bitching that goes on in the game? I have never once called anyone a “noob” i think it’s the most ridiculous and by this point also extremely clichéd thing you could possibly call someone. For example. I created a traq gun game so people could increase their handgun skills and so i could practise stun headshots. The rules were no cqc and let people go for ammo when they had run out, i.e. No shooting at someone who is running back to base for ammo. That’s pretty simple right? People join and start playing, everything is going ok, no one is being a dick and everyone is being polite, then this level 11 joined the game who kept cqcing people, then wouldn’t let people wake up without headshotting them. So every time someone was knocked out this guy would just wait until they woke up and headshoot them straight away so they couldn’t get away. I had run out of ammo and he wouldn’t let me return to base to get more. He kept knocking me out, not letting me wake up or go for ammo. So everyone is getting really pissed off by this point and i kicked him out of the game. So then he sends me a message calling me a Noob and generally being abusive. Stuff like this always happens in metal gear online. The other day i was in a TMD room and this idiot kept calling me a tranny for no apparent reason. And it got to the point where no one could play properly because he wouldn’t shut up and for some reason we couldn’t kick him either. Konami needs to start IP banning people. I think things like this ruin the game. |

Shit like this happens in all online games. Its sad how there are complete knobs who it seems are out to ruin the game but honestly, there isnt much you can do but avoid it. When playing COD4 i was sent multiple messages abusing me when i was winning. |

Fox Alive, you are a noob tranny. It is Tdm, not Tmd. You don't even know how to play the game. Lol, yeah I do agree with you. When you have killed someone in say Res or Tsne, they seem to call you a noob even thought you owned them. |

In TSNE one of the sneakers dissapeared behind a crate. The only way out was to dash back into our line of sight or crawl through the hole in the wall and use the crates blocking view of the vent for cover. I threw a grenade to the right of the crate and bounced one off the wall so it'd land behind the crate blocking view of the crawl hole. Got him with the second one and won the match. "OMG NADE SPAMMER NOOB U CANT PLAY PROPERLY SO YOU JUST NADE SPAM!" was his response. I'd say I used the nades for their intended purpose and seeing as you get only 3... |

As long as there is a messaging system, or an in-game chat system, these insults & abuse will always be thrown about. This will never change. Get used of it and come up with quirky responses that drive them over the edge.

God, these guys are annoying, you worst is: Example: Survival, TDM OO. I had a random eam of decent players. Were we lvl 15 annd 14s, The other team was a bunch of 11 and 12s. my team was all like, OMG WERE GUNNA PWN THHESE NUBS. OMG FUKKIN EASY, GUYS JUST GTFO OR WE'LL PWN YOU. I got so sick of the bitching i just spammed stfu and left. >< |

Yeah i guess i should try ignore it. I just find it difficult to concentrate with stupid "You're a noob" coming up on the screen every 10 seconds, even if it isn't directed at me. I think you should be able to turn the text part off in matches. |

All you need to do is find a decent player who is friendly (like me ^^) and find say good come backs like "no u" (Soo funny, cuz it gets them even more mad). Its all these "Stuck up pros", they may be good but not the best. I mean +RYU+ won right? But thier migt be a AWESOME MGO player who cant get a hold on the Expansions. Anyway. Theres nothing really "Nooby", Just people get annoyed at things (Most people really pissed). Like Shotgunners. people kick them just for using a gun the developers put in. And AA Mk.23ers, AA was put their for begginners, The Mk.23 was put thier for "Old memoeries" and "Hardcore Solid Snake Fans". Also (I have done this b4 but now learned:) Complain about CQC Ex, Come on, They CAnt move fast, suceptlable to HSs and dont have a weapoin skill on. Which means they poop and long range. People who use the DSR who purposely shoot there stomachs for cheap kills. Its not nooby, just powerful. Also Sniper Bodyshots. (TBH theyre cheap kills and take 3/8s of your health per shot). Tut-Tut |

Well the word “noob” is just supposed to mean new player isn’t it? So it’s funny when a level 12/13/14 get’s called a “noob” because how can those levels be considered new players? People should just call them a dick or a faggy ass monkey. They should at least think of something original other then “noob” |

Only time I've really encountered anyone being a complete dick, is when I was playing a game of TDM, 3 on 3 in AA, the other 2 members of my team left because the other guys were pretty good and killing them off before they could get any kills in, so was just me vs 3 guys, so I hid behind a box and stopped trying to take them on from the front (where they had a sniper and 2 guys with AKs making it pretty hard for me with my one AK to get anywhere close to them) and instead started sneaking around (a fairly fundamental part of MGO) I ended up coming top in that round and was then message about 3 times by each of the others for being a 'hiding noob' (think they were most pissed off that my kills were 90% with handguns and knifes that round) was a bit annoying after I'd played really well for them to come out with me having cheated and whatever |

As someone above has stated. This happens in online games. It comes with the territory. It cannot be fixed. If everyone who 'bitched' was IP banned, then online games would probably lose about 90% of their audience. Online gaming= bitching to see who has the biggest e-penis. If you can't stand it, then don't play. Simple as. EDIT: On the topic of the dude who kept K.O'ing you. Do you actually not know how to escape this scenario? There's a fantastic thing called rolling in MGO. Also, you are given about 2 seconds of invulnerability after being stunned. The whole point in online gaming is to have fun, and kill people right? The very fact that you kicked him makes you the person bitching, not him. In short, you kicked a guy because you naturally expected him to play to your rules (big mistake when playing online). And if you wanted free headshot boosts on each other, then you should have done it with a friend and password locked the game. Its almost as bad as voting to kick someone and then saying "KICK HIM! HE KEEPS GETTING ME WITH HEADSHOTS!".  Edited by Solid Gally, May 10 2009, 02:57 PM.

I dont think konami should IP ban ppl, as gally said, mgo would be pretty much deserted if they went through with that. But i agree that there are simply too many ppl who have the need to be a complete arse on mgo, say for example deliberately screwing up a game with specific rules(in foxalive's case leveling up pistols or whatever) or calling someone a cqc ex noob (ive even heard someone call me an M4 wasteman lol) but sadly, i dont think this is gonna stop anytime soon Maybe they should bring in an auto kick feature, for example you want to get charm, anyone who stuns anyone else would automatically be kicked etc Edited by Wulf47, May 10 2009, 03:40 PM.

Whenever a higher level player gets killed by a lower level player they have to find an excuse as to why. Spraying noob, shotgun noob, cqc ex noob, rpg noob. It doesn't matter, the point is to kill them and there are many weapons to do with. Just ignore them. If they start calling you a noob they are just babies. I was playing this one guy in team sneaking and he was obviously an alt because he was way better then his rank. <<blade>> I think his name was. Well we killed each other and he started talking shit which I thought was funny because he was dead. The next round I caught him in a mag and stunned him but before I could kill him he left the game. He mailed me calling me a low level mag noobie. The point is it doesn't matter. DSR1 to the stomach gets you the kill, take it. The point is to kill, not to kill with perfection. If anyone calls you a noob forkilling them its because there ego is hurt so really you win. |

you can while in-game,you can block someone's mic,msgs,or both so you can't hear them talking through a mic or them typing on screen  very useful against DDC and other top clans cause they never stop bragging about how "gud" they are |

i always hate it when I'm having fun in a match, and people trying to kick me for not playing well enough. It's hilarious and pathetic at the same time to see people get so serious about this. Ofcourse, it's always great to rank up, but they have to remember IT'S JUST A GAME. I've had difficulties with my waking up skills, when people kept on attacking me while I was trying to wake people up. It's so annoying. |
