Well, I'm an MS Paint whore, I love it. While photoshop is fun, paint is more casual. Anyway I make stuff in paint for various purposes. Mainly historical tabletop (like Warhammer 40000, but less pretentious and time consuming) and the like. These are all in 1:72 scale, as are the vast majority of other things I've made. The story behind these is one day I was bored and my fanboy-ism moved me to make MGS characters. Here are some; more after I finish up finals.

Every day is like a strange movie for me.

Nicely made. And you made them with paint, isn't that quite hard? Atleast looks like. By the way don't double post, edit the other comment.

Looks really good man. You should make a tutorial on how you made these.

Will do, I have some basic poses and the like that I use, but they're pretty bare bones.

The two basic pose types are 'dynamic" and "static" respectively.

Posted Image

Two examples from a recent set I did (the South Korean 707th Special Missions Battalion), the blitzing CT is a dynamic figure by it being in motion, but the sniper in wait is a static pose, not hinting at movement.

There are also many more primitive older poses in a static standing and firing pose, along with countless amounts of vehicles able to be made through unpixelating, scaling, then drawing over a blueprint, and as labour intensive as it is, the results are usually very rewarding. An example is a Eurocopter Dauphin I made, about 15 hours of work went into it, and I feel that it was a 15 hours well spent.

(Apologies for the advertising thing at the bottom, but I have to ascertain that I'm giving it to that site to put it in their database, or else intellectual property and copyrights can be troublesome)

Back on topic

So far, I'm working on a set, soon I'll probably have a "build your own PMC" thing when I'm done with the base sets for each. So far I've made a Praying Mantis marksman and working on the Raven Sword urban troops.

They're actually meant to be printed, cut, and folded into pieces for tabletop games, sort of like the Warhammer 40k stuff. While they are rather convenient as sprites, I prefer them in dioramas or MS Paint art.

I have even better choppers and other things, some of my best:

On topic, though, I'm almost done with Raven Sword's guys and will make Drebin's Stryker soon after.

By chance do you use Sprite Wars? Seems to be in the same style as someone I know from there. Really friggin brilliant job man, wish I had the patience to do things like that again.

I'm not familiar with that, I'll have to look it up sometime. I just like tabletop, MS Paint, Metal Gear Solid, and free stuff. An interesting mix, but I stay occupied.

Ah, mine are not sprites, not intended to move or anything of the sort. These are more for realism in simulated combat. Think an RTS, but with a table and some dice instead. As nerdy as it is, it is an interesting community.

EDIT: I finished the Raven Sword urban operatives. It includes a rudimentary build a PMC area.

Otacon: I want to ask you. Do you think love can bloom even on a battlefield?
Solid Snake: Yeah. I do. I think at any time, any place, people can fall in love with each other. But if you love someone, you have to be able to protect them.

Chicken Bone and Moonshine Empire!

707, Very awesome stuff, I LOVE LOVE MS PAINT!

Also, as Sad said, you should join sprite wars dude, Im a long time SW vet and a Moderator there, your art, while maybe adjusting the style a bit, would be perfect, and I think you'd feel very welcome at SW.

Basically, we make armies, all custom in Metal Slug style, and battle it out in comics through various campaigns. Example:
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/KALASH69/BeautifulScenery/gce3.png
(my army is the one in the grey camies).

Send me a pm if your interested. We are a very close knit group with alot of MGS fans. You'd fit right in.

Nice job with these. I'd be interested to know what kind of table strategy games you use these for? What are the rules and how would MGS characters work in it?

Currently, I don't use these. I have others that I do for that, these were a fun distraction for me to waste some of my free time.
