do you mean israeli? judaism is a religion and not a race. if your mom is from alberta, and your dad is from tennessee, then you are half and half (just like the coffee creamer). |

Eh. You know what I mean The Jewish example was just on the tip of my tongue. And I think I got it wrong too. I don't think it works that way though, the half and half... Of, course, upon further reflection, why wouldn't it? (shrugs) Hm...

Well that's the way I've always looked at it. My fathers American (Scots-Irish decent) and my mother is British (Scots-Irish too), so I've always considered my race/ethnicity 1/2 American, 1/2 British. Or going even more complicated 1/2 Scottish and 1/2 Irish. |

I think Canada is like on the whole really; and we don't have any reason to worry, really — we pretty much say to immigrants "bring your culture with you" and about the only thing we expect from F.O.B.'s is that they learn english, and even then, we accomadate other languages (seen the Punjabi street signs in South Vancouver?)? We've got our share of issues internally, but I like the wealth of different ethnicities that, across the past century or so, still remain distinct and yet localized. |

There was some pretty funny parts in that video, the KFC skit made me laugh a bit. But you have people in Japan that don't even know what happened in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. |

I went to Canada once on a family vacation. The weather is a lot cooler up north, and the wildlife is incredible to see, but I felt lost amid all the people speaking French. I think I'll stick to the USA though. Canadian's got a lot going for them, but I'm too used to my 50 states. |

Jewish is a religion not a race. I have Jewish relatives and I'm american. You can be any race and follow the Jewish faith. There are German Jews, American Jews, I even know some Arab Jews. On the issue of being half Canadian or not, it is possible to have one parent from one country and another parent from a different country and end up with dual citizenship. Being Canadian is determined by weather or not you are born in Canada, just like everywhere else. |

Wrong. You can be ethnically Jewish. Like Einstein was Ethnically Jewish and Chomsky is ethnically Jewish. |

Admin Hipocrisy 101: What he said. Now, back on topic, you lot. EDIT The whole America/Canada got another rise during the South Park movie, for which many Canadians were seriously offended. Really, the number of people who travel between the countries means that our cultures are pretty much the same. Except Canada has BC Bud. I want, I want, I want. Although, I made fun of a Canadian in the old Battle Raps thread years ago and he got a little miffed. Edited by Jaron, Aug 5 2009, 08:26:27 PM.
