What have been your closest calls in a game? Mine came last night during Survival, Rescue mission, Coppertown Conflict. Stupid me pressed right before X at the weapon select, so ended up getting the SVD instead of the M4. Tried staying in the base to change weapon but seems you can't do that on this. Anyways, because I had the SVD, I stayed back. Eventually all my team members had died, it was me vs 2. One minute to go, I spotted an enemy in the area where karotan is. So stopped, got behind a corner, looked the scope and leaned out. He spotted me, started firing, then the wind picked up and the screen filled with dust. I managed to head shot him through the dust. One down, one to go, 30 seconds left. I decided to just go for it, ran around, picked up the target. Jumped out of the building and ran, 3 seconds to go bullets started flying past me. Just as the timer reached zero, I was killed. Luckily, I still had posession of the target when the timer reached zero, so we won. The smallest fraction of time sooner, we would've lost. Close call or what?

That's the usual last second grab during Rescue matches. This actually happens the whole time on some maps. Either it's close and you're killed and or you somehow get it in the last sec. RES matches are very very often pretty close. Yesterday we (THE S3 PLAN) were able to kill the last enemy in the very last second to win the match. We weren't even sure if it was still during the match or right after the match. Same with BASE on V.V what was an incredible lucky win for us. First round we won rather easily by defending 3 bases rather than trying to get the other 2 as well. Well 2nd round they were often very close to winning having 4 vs 1 bases, than we can get 1 one more and just one second later they also got one. In the end we managed to get in front (for the first time during the whole match) for once when we got the 3rd base 2 seconds before the match ended. They also were by miles in front when it comes to points. |

I seen you guys in MK2 last night, then noticed the leader's name was yours. Had the thing flash up a few times too "The S3 Plan has won X amount of matches in a row!"  See, I wasn't intending to grab the target and let the timer go down, I was actually thinking of getting it back to the goal seeing as the map isn't that big and it was pointless and risky to try and track down the last enemy. I couldn't believe it, first time it's ever happened to me, getting killed then seeing "BLUE TEAM WON!" lol, I was like "FUCK YEAH!!!"  That BASE one is pretty cool, sounds pretty lucky too.

I remember this one epic tsne game in survival. I think it was just after scene came out so everyone was using cqcex. On the defending side, about half way through everyone was getting knocked out, till eventually i was left on my own against a horde of crazed cqc ex'ers. Then i put on my game face, and somehow thwarted their every attempt to grab me, rolling away like crazy. Eventually it was 1v1 with a few more seconds to spare so i decided to just run and hide not realizing i was actually running towards my last opponent, luckily the round ended just before i ran into him, so we won

One time I was playing SNE on MM and it was the last round. I was chosen as Snake and didn't have the MK II. After a few minutes I got two dog tags and time was running low. Everyone was in an intense fight in the middle of the street. I had to do something fast. It was ten seconds left so I threw a stun grenade and ran towards Liquid I threw him down and started patting him for the dog tag. By this time the stun wore off and they were shooting at me. So I got the dog tag and died all when the timer hit zero. For a second I thought I lost then I see "Snake Wins." So then I just whistled and left he game. |

I can think of a couple that come to mind. A few nights ago, I attached C4 to my friend (on the enemy team) and knocked him out, then I ran off and got hit by a sleeping gas mine. I spun the analog as fast as I could and could hear him coming for me as he woke up. I woke up just in time to see him turn around the corner 10 feet from me, and detonated the C4...whew. Also, last night an idiot teammate set off one of our sleeping gas mines and knocked us both out. Two enemies came in and I woke up just in time to kill them both from the prone position. |

On TSNE in a 16 player game *facepalm* I was out on my own on the sneaking team when a group of enemies run by. I start to follow them untill they run into 4 of my guys. Of course a friendly gets caught and all hell breaks loose. Gunfire, grenades, etc. Somehow in all the chaos I managed to disarm an enemy just as all my guys are killed, so heres me with a half empty M4 against a bunch of enemies. Funny thing is, instead of me getting slaughtered they must have thought I was one of them and they ran the other way allowing me to run and hide.

It's happened to me before too, few days ago. Both myself and the enemy didn't realise we were on opposite sides for a couple of seconds, was pretty funny actually. We both tried linking through SOP running around eachother, then realised we weren't on the same side, pretty funny how it happened, running around eachother for a few seconds, then stopping and headshotting eachother.

In some maps I've had the exact opposite... stopped looking at the map, saw someone through the mesh who didn't have a nametag, fired/was fired at... And SOP lock kicked in. Annoyingly the most recent Really close call, was merely Close for the other guy. I.I., was playing dead in full normal snow camo, and a guy ran over me... Because i was using the codec, it took me a few seconds to react, and he spotted my characters brown hair. All credit to the guy though, he was only a foot past my head when he saw what had to be an area only about twice the size of a knife. The lesson: Never assume that merely having facepaint and body camo down to the shoes will save you... You need the helmet too to blend in. Faced more than one last-second-dash cases though, and of course that one 1v4 Res I still go on about. Or the 'Luck, prone position, and an M60' vs. 5 rifle chargers... scene familiar to anyone whose seen a classic assault on a machine gun nest... Done without grenades or flamethrowers, that is. Finally, I.I. Again... good old SOCOM, some at least nearly-white clothes, and the blizzard. Oh, for the old PSG1 there... Anyway, as you can tell my current favourite map is I.I., not least because of the (As far as i know) still nonexistent ENVGs. Ok, I've finished listing mine, now I go back into the "Inferno"... |

Nice stories  Ok, my closest call was when I joined a TSNE match and I got into the sneaking team exactly when just the last guy died. So it was me versus 8 other guys and 2 minutes left. I hid behind that stair thing right next to the grassland on UU. From there I got one with the tranq gun and shortly after that the whole team was there. I threw a smoke grenade, ran left and got to the red roof without anyone noticing. From up there I saw all of them shooting everything down there but no one was on the roofs so I ran to the duck and from there to the manapult. When I was flying towards the goal you could literally see them going WTF. Then I scored before anyone was up there and I got a love proposal from my team. That was by far my best MGO match, ever.

Actually that also happened to me pretty often but only if I had somebody in a CQC hold. Sometimes the enemy thinks it's his mate who's choking me and not the other way around. Is always pretty funny ^^ |

Yeah I love that... happened to me too on W.W, I was strangling Meryl at a leisurely CQC1 pace... one of her teammates comes along and lines up for the kill-steal... I wasn't sure which one of us he was aiming at, so I popped out my tranq pistol while still holding in cqc... he shot Meryl in the head and teamkilled her while at the same moment I land a tranq headshot and knock him out.

I remember a week after i got MEME, i was playing in survival. It was C.C. and we were down to the last few secs. All my team was lvl 9-12. And that was back when no one got past 12 xD... I was only lvl 8. and all these enemy kept giving me shit cause my team kept me guarding the target up in the building. Well, at 1 second of course that nooby high lvl goes for the win and grabs the target, The split second he grabs i HS him. It was hilarious. All the high lvls with him died by my teams high lvls. He was 11. I was amazed. We won by 13 points. XD XD XD XD P.S. All the enemy's were like OMFG, Noob HS, blah blah blah... And one, amazed me and said Good Job. |

haha i got a good one, ok we were doing the team sneaking where you gotta get to the target or w.e and i was the last one left on my team, vs 1 guy, and he was invisible, and the target was on top of this thing accross a board up stairs, and i could sorta see him so i started shooting and he ran up the stairs and hid behind a thing but i could still see him, so he pulled out a flash and threw it and i boxed just in time, and he was ALMOST at the kerotan and i killed him, and won the game for my team |
