I was quite disappointed in the outcome of this, i don't particularly agree with it. I would have given it to the green guys due to the better weapons, armor, and although the training isnt as brutal as the spetsnaz, its still very harsh and difficult training so that would have made no difference. I still think the Navy SEAL's are the best special forces in the US. I sort of want to see SEAL's vs SAS.

when you say "disappointed" you mean sad? It's just a simulation, hence the results may not reflect the reality.

SEALs are at the top of the game, but they're not any better than Force Recon, Special Forces (green berets) or Air Force Combat Control (90% drop out rate, btw). SEALs specialize in certain types of missions. You pick the best team for the specific mission.

Ultimately, all that matters as that none of these guys should ever be fucked with.

Yeah it's all simulation, based on number crunching and so on so you know, the thing is though the computer cant predict the actions of a soldier in a spur of a moment thing like decision/act of defense. Mostly this is for entertain purposes but they are real soldiers in the information gathering parts I believe.

Unfortunately, spur of the moment defense and offense is exactly what would determine the outcome.
It wouldn't be like a scene from Hollywood either. The deadlier two men are, means the quicker it's going to end.

How do you figure that? The AK-74 Carbine is pretty well on the same level of the M4 Carbine but it is also a lot more reliable. Secondly the Green Beret's would be wearing the exact same armor as or one equivalent to the Spetsnaz. Finally the Spetsnaz trained a lot better than the Green Beret's.

The Navy Seals are well trained but still not better than the Spetsnaz. A good match up would have been Spetsnaz versus the SAS. Also this show makes no sense because they don't count all the variables that could fuck over someone in real life.

Have you gone through Navy SEAL, Special Forces or Spetsnaz training?
My point is; if you haven't, how do you know who has the "better" training?

I haven't watched the video and already think it's bullshit.
How are you going to create a general stat on individual soldiers?

Let's face it, some SEAL's can whip the shit out of some Force Recon, and some Force Recon can whip the shit out of some SEAL's. You can't make a single simulation on which team is better.

It's BS.
Wow... I must say, I agree with you 100% on this one.

I didn't watch the video but I'm assuming it's that episode of World's Deadliest Warrior. My thoughts after watching the show were exactly as Sor said, no two soldiers are the same. You can't do a simulation like this and expect it to be very realistic.
