Um.

What?

Quote:

Seriously, if you heard someone downstairs and you were home alone, would you honestly do nothing? I mean, as soon as you hear someone, its natural to fear for your life and assume they are a threat to you.

If they're running out the house with the T.V. or toaster, or whatever, they are not a threat, thus killing them is pointless. If thy're coming up the stairs and I happen to have a vase near, and that vase happens to collide with his head in order to stop him beating me to a pulp, then that's what I would do. That's what ANYONE would do. I'm not arguing that.

My point is i'm not going to actively hunt the guy if I heard him downstairs.

My opinion...a criminal is a criminal is a criminal.
Do you judge all criminals like that, no gray shades, you either are or you are not?

Jiro, you're not Rorschach. You know that some laws are unjust, even if you don't think that some criminals are worth the effort, or are redeemable.

Yeah, like the current prohibition on marijuana, not being able to buy liquor on a Sunday in Texas, and ordinances against owning snakes in certain cities, oh, and not being able to carry a blade over 5.5 inches in a state where you can carry a .45 if licensed. Silly, I know.

Oh yeah, and then there's that whole ban of porn in the Ukraine. Poor repressed bastards.

... The fuck? That's law?

And prohibition on just about anything makes it more dangerous than it already is.

Sarcastic Picture is Sarcastic.

But a criminal is a criminal is a criminal is in reference that anyone who commits a major crime like robbery.....rape etc...or a heavy or bad crime is still a criminal even when reformed.

I prefer that but he or she is still a 'reformed criminal' They have stained their humanity in my opinion.....but if they live the rest of their days in peace then all power to them and thank God for that.

But for the most part most people who commit robberies or assault or etc are repeat offenders or offenders who are willing to repeat. Who knows who you might be saving grief when you take out that crak addict wanting to shiv you for his mid night fix.

Yes. Laws based on moral beliefs, such as Sundays...and having relevance to anything religious need to stay the fuck out of my Government. Local or otherwise.

If you go to Cali, the booze stores are 24/7.
Ridiculous.

Sunday is still more of a stay at home and drink place.

So buy some Jack on Sat and sit at your Flat.

No, he was unarmed and downstairs in the garage. Meaning the guy went out of his way to FIND the burglar and attack him.

You know, I have no idea why you're arguing this. Is it important at all?

It is pretty important when some student can have his life totally ruined (if he is judged to have murdered the burglar) by some guy who decided to brake into his house. That'd be terribly unfortunate, don't you think?

No I mean overall.

It's not important whether he was walking out of the house or in the house, or doing backflips in the living room. He was in the guy's property, and he got caught. He paid with his life. It's not important to debate because I thought what he did was morally wrong.

You can say I would charge down the house and stomp a thieves stomach out if you want. If you think i'd do that, then fine feel free.

Maybe strong men turn you on?

Are you saying that if you heard someone downstairs in your garage, you'd just shrug it off and carry on watching TV (or whatever you happen to be doing at the time)?

Lol that's a funny pic.

But really what do you expect to do? Ignore that there's somebody in your garage? Yes he well might have a 12 gauge, and he might not. And not all of us have 12 gauges at the ready for burglars. So i'd take the sword with me. Hell and even feel pretty cool doing it if it had been a false alarm even.
