Okay, i have been playing MGO since it came out and i have actually gotten quite good with the standard controller, but, i see these people that shoot REALLY fast and stuff and then people pulling off REALLY far headshots with ease across the map with an AR and i wonder, what are they doing or have that i dont? a lot of people say its glitching but i have recently found out just how many people actually use it and its a lot. maybe not as many on MGO but a conciderable ammount. and i want to know, how well does it work with MGO, and is it worth the cost? PLEASE DO NOT SAY "OH SO UR GONNA BE A FRAG FX NOOB!" or anyting like that, this is not a hate topic, simply a discussion on how well it works. |

Answer: It doesn't work at all. FragFx is a mouse, which isn't good on MGO at all. It works on games such as CoD etc. The reason some people pull of wickedly fast headshots, is because they're good players. Simple as. |

I agree with you there, it may seem unfair most of the time and pretty unbaleivable but some people are really skilled at mgo. I dont understand how people can pull off a sniper-no-scope from half way across the map and get a headshot in COD4, but I guess if you play it enough and have talent you can do it. |

This reminds me of MGO. And the people that shoot you in the head from miles across the map are typically the Level 15+ hounds+. They're the guys with 1,000+ hours on their accounts. So, basically, there's just people that spend their whole day playing that game... Fun...

i did some research on the Frag FX V2 and found out it has a turbo function that (obviously) makes u shoot really fast. i have actually seen quite a few people do this in MGO and they did pretty well, so apperently it does work for it and also, i love to snipe and a mouse pad would make that easier for me since i have recently became a "full time" PS3 player since i finally got my own PS3 and i have played PC games for WAY more hours than PS3. so i think it would be a good investment if not for MGO then for Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 since i have those. |

I wouldn't see it working... Perhaps in games like Call of Duty 4, sure. But it seems as if the community within MGO is always up to date with the latest cheats, so if this hasn't happened already, I doubt it'll work. I'm sure some Level 17 asshole has tried it. |

Why shouldn't it work? For "Run'n'gun" games it'll definately work. Despite of the 4 usual buttons the rest is very easy to use and you for a CAP/RACE game for example you only need L1, L2 (if you box pop) , R1, moving and aiming. Looking at the controller it's just a matter of some little training and actually big hands to get used to it. Crouching, rolling, hitting and changing to FPV may be tricky but not really that necessary...not for real shoot'n'run modes. |

im ordering it today if i have the chance, so i will tell u guys if it works or not, but the only thing i actually am worried about is the choke hold, i dont think i would be able to just hold and not choke, it wont be sensitive enough to just hold them there to scan or whatever. |

It's all about having a mental crosshair inside your aim "circle". But some people are actually putting dots on their TV. I tried it once, it helps but not that much. 99/100 times someone who gets those wicked headshots quite simply have good aim. 1/100 they use a dot i guess. FragFX ... LOL i don't think that works with 3rd person games very well |

any update on this? does it work? ps how can you put a dot on your screen? would you not be waiting for every player to cross that exact line of fire for it to be useful? Please don't double-post; use the edit button. ^-^ Edited by Orca*, Oct 1 2009, 07:46 AM.

I've heard of many ways to do it. I tested by simple using easy-to-remove glue, lol. It worked and didn't leave much trace. I've heard of people managing to kill specific pixels as well. |

I have not gotten it yet, should be arriving today. *EDIT* Got it friday afternoon, i have played with it for about a day now and im quite satisfied with it. it is smoother, more accurate, and it has some cool extra features. the thing is that it takes time to get used to, im still getting used to it but i dont need as much of a "warm up" time to actually start doing good in MGO. with a regular controller i usually need a couple to 4 maps to get into the groove, but with this im ready to shoot in a ranked game after 1 map usually. i have also found taht using FPV is SOOOOOO much easier. sniping is easier, and also even the mouse buttons are pressure sensitive so you can simply hold a person in CQC. i have done good with it, but still getting used to it so cant say im doing great. i will in time tho. my friend also got one on the same day and we both have been expirementing with them and greatly enjoying it. i also played with it on Kill Zone 2 and it works GREAT! it works even better on a first person shooter game and i got way more kills than i do with a standard controller. overall im greatly satisfied with my purchase. Really! Thank you very much. I'm been worried haw to press X buttons on mice and aim the same time, and where to hold my left hand. I need to buy it too, that's for sure.

Even though I'm not getting it, it's not cheating. It's a legit controller and it doesn't automaticly lock on to heads as I've read. It would mean every PC owner would cheat. AFAIK none of the 2TM, DRD, PO, or whatever big clan uses it so it's quite possible to be awesome without it. I hate PC gamign so I won't get it. But I won't be upset if I get killed that way. Dl, lagswitching, glichting is cheating. Using a different controller is not (as long as it won't actually automaticly locks on to heads). I mean they still need to aim themselves. |
