I sent him a message about it and he claimed that someone on our team was definitely lagswitching. We did have two randoms on our team, so I guess it's possible, but I never saw it, and they never told us who was doing it so if they really were LSing we wouldn't have known to kick them for it.

Either way, most of the time I was playing last night he kept sending me invites to join his survival team xD

it was RES i was defending and Snake. My full team died after a few seconds. Than 3 enemys come. Liquid and 2 soldiers. I grabed soldier 1, knocked him out, soldier 2 was aiming on me i shot on a barrel behind him and he flys away than i headshoted liquid. Soldier 2 was dying because he burned. Than one of my comrades asks to restart the full time so i said "stop it!". Sadly i had no keyboard and the other one grabed the target while i typed this. Than he droped it and gave me after 40 seconds a headshot and all said "lol" or "OMFG NOOB!".-.- what ever, this "owning with snake all" was amazing

I lol'd.

Why exactly do you not enjoy it?
Besides the whining and poor animations (which we've gotten used to really...) I don't see how you can hate it.

Honestly, I hate konami and the way the run it.

I hate the people that play it, the no-lifers that spend every waking minute playing the game.

I hate the huge gap of skill between levels 1-6 and 10-22, theres no middle ground for new comers or casual gamers (myself).

I hate the general lack of sportsmanship, attitude, and respect among the players.

I hate the way Konami continuously neglects to fix the in-game problems.

I hate all of the technical bullshit alot of people have to go through to play the game without network-related lag (because even then the death-looping and some other minor glitches occur).

I hate how Konami keeps changing the weapons stats and such.

I hate how Konami doesn't use Sony servers or the PSN for updates and expansions.

I hate how everyone who plays is obsessed with rank.

I hate the way the rank system works, and how rank is determined.

I hate the way the reward-points system works.

I hate how no one used SOP or team work in game.

I hate how hardly anyone sneaks around or does any metal gear-esque things.

I hate how you have to play with the previously mentioned no-lifers in order to gain reward points.

I hate the way you have to unloads mags upon mags of ammo into ANYONE to kill them.

And if you know me, you know Ive played MGO since it's inception on the PS2. I loved MGO as much as anyone could love a video game, then the beta came along. It was perfect, aside from the connection problems and load times. Everyone was playing together, it was true MGS fans at their finest, playing a game that they loved. Then the full game comes out, I was so psyched. Once I got on...the weapons stats were changed, it was harder to rank up, no one was using SOP, everyone was so fucking angry and stingy...

It's sad, you know...the game had such potential. My entire clan has essentially neglected playing MGO for the reasons, plus more, I listen above.

I devoted years to this game, I played it exclusively, and the thanks I get from Konami and the community is a huge slap in the face.

i just find the game addicting, no matter if it has problems or not, i just love to play it.

ON TOPIC: survival last night was TSNE on S.S. we were on defence and we rushed in and spotted them. i was standing on top of the box by the area where all the nade spamming takes place and for some reason 4 of the enemy team was down there. our whole team was looking down on them from above and we systematically shot them all, i HSed 3 of them and it was the easiest TSNE win i have had in a long time. we then were attacking team and 3 of us were killed by grenades or rushers and the other 3 of us slowly slinked up from the front and sides. i hid in the middle of the choke point in the middle and had 3 guys walk on top of me and i stabed one. i KOed another in the back of the head with MKII and i tried to rush up middle to grab GA-KO but was killed. it was a good match tho.

In TDM on U. U. a one player used the launcher to get to the roof, where my claymore was waiting for him and blew him out of the roof just as he landed, but he was followed by another one, who got headshot from my Mk. 2 just before he launched himself, resulting in landing on his head=instant death. Even n00bs like me get lucky. xD
I actually started to laugh so much i was crying.

I love MGO, too. MGS4 had the best gameplay in the series in terms of mechanics and control scheme, and taking it online is breathtaking. There are problems with it, but I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

One of my most satisfying moments in the game was when I was Snake and some other guy was Liquid and I saw Liquid and Snake goes, "AHHHHHHHHHHH LIIIIQQQQUUUUUIIIIIDDDD!" And Liquid goes, "SNNNNAAAAKKKKKEEE!" and then right as he said that I hit R1 with my assault rifle drawn and CQC'd him across the face, disarmed him and then slammed him to the ground with my assault rifle, knocking him out. CQC at its finest. So epic and satisfying.

Another time was when I was Liquid and I tried to do the GOP move, and right as I sent it off, and Liquid says, "Behold! Guns of the-" and then some sniper out of nowhere just shot me right in the head. Hilarious.

I started getting better at CQC with my regular character and I caught a guy from behind and did that new CQC move where you can choke the guy while pretty much laying on top of him. It was so homo erotic and satisfying at the same time. I was beaming, good times, good times. He then came back and killed me and proceeded to t-bag me. What goes around comes around I suppose.
"Listen up. For us, there is no victory."
"But in revolution, doesn't one triumph or die?"
"We don't do either."

I was pretty satisfied when I obtained a lot of REWARD POINTS during the 24 hour survival.

It's too bad that survival sucked up about 9 hours of my life...-_-''
In one day nonetheless...

^Ditto.

I used to tolerate that large list of problems, but there comes a day when it just
becomes too tiresome and not worth the effort.

In order to have a good and fun game, one needs to work their way
around all of the problems above, which is just ridiculous.

I gave a lot of time to MGO, mainly because I wanted its problems to get fixed,
and wanted it to be an ace online game.
Then I realized that all I was doing, was compromising myself in every game that
I entered, not even playing it like a Metal Gear title anymore
(having to judge when the right time to hit a headshot was just for fear of the lag making
it not count etc, and in turn spraying a whole magazine of bullets at an enemy,
of which would end up doing zero damage to them).

I think its gone massively downhill too.

At first, the community was built up of MGS fans which was a cool feeling.
Hell, I remember discussing the MGS4 story with players in games and in pre-match lobbies.
-Like f*ck would that ever happen now.

I remember the good old days when everybody was dressed in black (without reward points xD),
where an AK shot could beat a sniper on Midtown Maelstrom, where lagswitchers and cheats
were a rare occurrence, where everybody typed 'GG' (even after a free battle),
where kick attempts were rare, and where the game felt like a great online title.

Now everybody runs around in ridiculous gear (Jason Voorhees masks with Mohicans and red goggles? Come on...),
where every weapon has a ridiculous amount of recoil and lack of range,
where lagswitchers and cheats are more prominent than ever before,
where people argue and kick others just because they suck themselves,
and where I have a miserable online gaming experience.

All I can say is, thank the lord for MW2. Otherwise I'd still be stuck on MGO.
I still play MGS4 offline occasionally but other than that, the disc can rot on the shelf for all I care.

My most satisfying game was just now. It was a DM and I was raking in the kills, getting "5 consecutive kills" twice I think. Was such an awesome game and I was looking forward to getting the EXP. but then I got a CONNECTION UNSTABLE notice on the screen and I was disconnected from the host... >:( Fuckin' thing SUCKS!

most satisfying recent experience -

Last nights Survivial -our team 'Blood Anarchy' up against a high level team of 16s/17s we are 12/13/14s. RES FF, we started to attack, they decide to rush to our base but we all decided to hide in boxes aorund our base then when they got to us we all popped up and killed them all. We never really tried that before but it worked great. needless to say we were spammed with "WTF BOX N00BS". In the defending round we did exactly the same thing except we took the long run to their base and box camped near their base. I saw one of their team with a sniper rifle hiding in grass with back to me so i popped out of box, scanned him, got their positons and we moved to box camp their route back and popped out and killed them as they passed. The one carrying the target made it through to their base but we killed the rest, i got a scan and stun in and we won on points!!!
