Check out Youtube for the kid who gets into the prize machine And Sn4ke, you are right. This is another fail by the cable news networks. I don't even want to know how much time they spent covering this fake event. A compound in Waco burning down after a long 2 month standoff warrants uninterupted coverage. Unconfirmed reports of filler material is not news. Covering this while people are convulsing and dying from flu shots and imperials loot the system for every last drop on the eve of monetary death. |

Lol. I just saw on the news that an American news show interviewed the whole family live and the kid said he was in the attic because his parents had told him to be, "for the show". Fail. |

yeah i know what your saying C64 i'm a journalism student and we went over filler materiel recently. the reason we put out that kind of crap is usually for two reasons. 1 we're trying to get our facts strait about another larger story (citations, quotes, checking references for accuracy) 2 we're playing to the common individual, i think this was a mixture of both, seeing how the news has been rather political lately especially with the health care system here in America. they probably wanted to break away from that for a few minutes and let people catch their breath with something they could actually follow. lol it's another reason Police Chases always stay on forever. and you'll notice that they only change stories when the chase is resolved or when it's "convenient" for them to move on. Just a little inside trick

I'm glad he's alright and all... but seriously that was a big waste of time, If I'm understanding what GJV is saying, his parents told him to hide in the attic so people would believe he was missing and give the whole situation attention? If that is correct then the parents are scumbags who should be locked up for wasting police time and resources (I couldn't care less about the medias time being wasted as their full of morons to) |

Burning Eagle.. All they want to do is keep you mesmerized and hypnotized. The networks stage politics, they dont present news. Network news was created for big gov while parent companies fueled the cold war through global stock exchanges and the pentagon. Its why a DOD contractor like GE owns NBC and their studios are at Rockefeller Plaza All news on tv is doing is whitewashing issues with a redundant scope on a headline. Print is just as dirty Anyone.. For fun, go watch "Network" (1976) by Sidney Lumet |

*sigh* i'd really love to argue but this is not the "is free press controlled by the government" topic so nevermind fact is this story has been dropped like a ton of bricks, like i said it was a distraction the news has gotten back to the more serious stuff. make no mistake they'll follow up on it if they need more time to work. |

My point is time and again CNN and the others resort to breaking news without checking sources. They catch something while monitoring another network, or AP or Reuters, then go with it indefinately. In this case it appears to be another complete hoax They did it with the Malvo killings, Ramsey suspect, fake anthrax reports, bride who went missing, and many times in between and since Now back to smoke and mirrors, celebrity commentary, and Kyra Phillips' cum-loving forehead Floozie anchors and Larry King |

If you realize who the family is you would of known it was something for tv. I mean they have been on like wife swap twice, TWICE! I didn't even think you could get it on it twice.. but they got in a lot of trouble for this so yeah. |

I read about possible charges being filed. CNN should also be charged for not being accountable for their breaking coverage of hoax after hoax. They didnt bother covering death of Posse Comitatus in Pittsburgh 6 weeks ago. They showed thugs lighting garbage bins on fire and throwing rocks at the police and tried to tell viewers that protesters were responsible. No mention of martial law by them, or the fact that PA have their own localized PATRIOT act. Piss on TV. |
