Brothers and sisters… Welcome to the Bloodless Revolution. blunt:EDGE is a loose affiliate of like-minded EU players who use entirely non-lethal means in battle, to challenge our skills against the murderous PMC and to live up to the ideals set in MGS. The clan has been about in various guises since MGS3:Subsistence was launched. In any of the games in the MGS series, Kojima rewards those who do not take lives unnecessarily; those who use stealth and cunning to defeat your opponents. The pointlessness of war is arguably the central message of the series and is what makes this game so different from others based around armed conflict. In MGO we are offered the means with which to enact peaceful resolution, yet only a few choose to dedicate themselves to The Path. "The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom." - Sun Tzu Be warned: conventional victory will often be hard fought if not impossible; do not join The Way if you care for success or good statistics. Triumph is found in your ability to survive a battlefield full of armed opponents and to manipulate events without directly shedding blood. We are not a clan in the conventional sense. There is nothing required of you bar the use of pacifist methods and wearing our emblem, the Japanese ideogram for ‘Without' or 'Empty'. There is no pressure to fight together but, if you wish to organise team matches, you are more than welcome and I would happily join you. If you have a spare character slot, a hunger for new challenges or you just wish to annoy other players rather than kill them - look no further. blunt:EDGE clobbering heads... for peace. |

This is a truely interesting challenge, i should for a week or so use only non lethal, sounds fun. then i will get the pigeon and all, sounds fun. |

I'll be looking out for a clan in some time, and this one looks great. I've read a few books on Sun Tzu too; Art of War and War & Management. I don't consider myself a bad player, but currently I'm only Lvl. 3. Also, how can you get past all those braindead running and gunning lunatics, with only tranquilizers and get to Lvl. 10?

Really? I find TSNE a real pain: when you're not on the stealth team, you're weaponless (apart from CQC or stun knife). I mostly play TDM/SNE. Games with DP offer loads of extra options (V Rings, SG mines, VSS). Some days it works out, some days it doesn't. @BosaBoss - Sounds good to me! @Xelig00n - Cheers - why not join in? |

Well, i just joined a clan with my friends and we got some stuff rolling :/ I could join with my other char (that's not really an alt, i play both) and such, because i would love to try this. But i respect it if you don't want an "alt-ish" character xD It's level 12 i think... the one in my friends' clan in 15... |

Like I say, it's more of way of playing than a strict clan. We occassionally play together and, if that's what you're looking for, we can arrange that. Anyone can join: Mains, alts, monkeys, pepper-steaks, 60ft trees - anyone. Well... anyone who isn't a tit, basically. I'm No K!ller is one of my three characters, so feel free to open up a new character and dip into a world without bloodshed. For the record: I ain't a hippy! |

You can't play pure non-lethal and expect to win; be it in Survival, as part of a full non-lethal team, or in your own solo play. It's never been about the winning. Victory is fleeting. It's just a fun and, more often than not, frustrating way to play. Why not give it a try? We can tear our hair out together. |

Maybe I have the wrong philosophy, but I love using non lethal techniques throughout the game, growing my DP for that ever so covetted DSR1. I like to play with my enemy, hanging back to snipe them to sleep, or running up behind enemy lines (if I can) and choke them out, and take their gun (more often than not using it to off them). I guess I'm not bloodless, more so just wanting to be a pretty crafty player. |

You sound like you have the right idea! Why not try stealing their gun, run a little out of sight, lay down a Sleep Gas Mine and drop their weapon on top? Hilarious results when they come running or if any other curious player sees it. |

I bought a second character slot this weekend solely for the purpose of having a non-lethal character (since I seem to be having so much fun playing that way) I'd like to start a NA version of blunt:EDGE I can't find a picture of the ideogram you use. I googled it and I can find all sorts of ideograms...but not the one for "empty" Do you have a picture you can upload or a website you got it from? If not than I found one for "life" (which looks pretty sweet) I can just use that. |
