My computer has one HDD but it's divided in two. Here's a pic to show what I mean;

My question is pretty simple, yet important. Considering my data on that C: is almost full, how do I get the full data from the 'other' HDD? Do I delete the E: Data and add it to the C: If so, how do I do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

The harddisk is partitioned. Can't you just copy/cut and paste contents from C to E by opening 2 separate windows of each (C and E) through My Computer/Win Explorer?

Why would you delete contents from E (it's already empty)? Do you mean consolidate 93gb + 91gb into one single drive letter =ing 184gb? Don't do that until you backup C first.

Try C+P but don't cut, copy instead just incase. If that doesn't work, get a certified external drive and move all of C to that, then reformat HD without a partition.

Yeah, I want it to be one letter and have 184GB. I tried copypasting E to C but it said I don't have the administrative rights to do that, and the other way around it just makes all my content in C go to E and I'd just prefer it all to be in one letter as you say, so how do I do that?

Ok. You need to gain access to the E by changing administrator settings. You need to find out how to get permission to log into the other half that is partitioned. I don't think you can departition without reformatting, but if you can google how to gain control of both through admin settings, you should atleast be able to use both at the same time.

Im not savvy with Vista but somebody else here will probably know. Also, did you try to shrink E using Partition Magic? Try reducing E to 1 gig using P-Magic.

Alright man, I'll try that stuff out and get back to you. Thanks for the help.

In the meantime if anyone has some more information on the Vista system and how to add the two HD's feel free to post, I'd appreciate it a lot.

If fusing them proves difficult or impossible, does anyone know how I can switch that from now on every data I download/save etc. goes into my E: instead of C:?

I've found a temporary solution to how many space there is. I'll just save all files I download from now on to the E, that way there's still a lot of space left. Surprised I didn't think of this before.

Unfortunately I can't remember at the moment how you combine the two.

However, I do know it will be done by clicking on My Computer and clicking Manage. Then under disk managament there will be a way to combine the two.
