What you guys going to? Couldn't see a similar thread.

I managed to get 2 tickets for the Rage Against the Machine free gig this morning, after just under 90 mins of refreshing; horrible. It's on June 7th iirc.

I also have 6 standing tickets for Muse at Wembley Stadium on the 11th of September.

Download looks promising but I'm not a festival person... besides compared to last year Download is weak; Download 2009 and Soinsphere UK 2009 were both such good line-ups but I never went to either.

Seen Baroness, Scott Kelly and Mastodon, gonna see Bolt Thrower, Fun Lovin Criminals and whatever hits the festivals this summer.

Hopefully RATM will play in Holland or Belgium. Seen em twice, kicked major ass.

Raiden... Five years ago... That's not what I meant.
Seeing some indie noise band HEALTH in a week or so. I don't really know 'em, bought the tickets as a valentine's gift for the old lady cause she loves them.

Other than that, nothing so far.

wanted to see this free RATM gig but my photo got rejected 3 times! even my passport photo, wat a joke, i guess i was just unlucky.

Also wanted Fear Factory this friday but again missed out on a ticket! GAH.. no getting to a good start this year haha.

Download looks incredibly meh too me, especially wen u compare it to say '06 and compared to the history of donnington actually, the last 3 years have been shocking as a "metal" festival

bloodstock for me this year me thinks, Sonishere looks cool though, but why the UK didnt get the big 4 is beyond me.
but yeah bloodstock, gojira, bodom, rage, devin townsend, fear factory, wjhat more could you ask for

Leeds Festival is the big one. If only because I'll be living about a twenty minute drive from there.

Download too, but I might just get tickets for the day that Rage play, I haven't got any interest in watching AC/DC again nor Aerosmith. Deftones would be cool to see I guess, they were one of the first bands I saw live.

Bastard! I wanted to go see Flyleaf but Birmingham gig sold out :( .

Booked my tickets for Sonisphere and Rage Against The Machines free show. Will most likely be getting Download tickets this weekend, and may well end up seeing Trivium and Fozzy in Nottingham.

I went to see AC/DC and Motorhead last year... but hey, this thread is for this year, eh?
I heard Guns n Roses are doing a 2010 world tour, hopefully they come to Glasgow, if they do then I most definitely try and get tickets, certainly my favorite band of all time... yes even the new line up.

FUCK I'm jealous. I'm waiting for the day they come to NZ.
I haven't got any plans so far but there aren't too many concerts this year, but if anything comes out I'll attend, love a good concert.

I personally think we should forbid diva Axl to use the name GnR, for he is the only member from the original lineup.

I have virtually nothing lined up, but Jesco White's supposed to be in town on March 5th so I'll go check that out, and Henry Rollins is doing a spoken word show by Kent State University (about an hour away) on April 1st so I'm definitely going to that. Other than that, nobody's really coming around. My highest hopes are that Hank III and Gogol Bordello will play here this year.

Ha, they are my favourite band. I've seen them twice; November '06 and November '09. =)

By that logic they should have changed their name just after Izzy Stradlin left (right after UYI I/II came out)
... or maybe you mean from the Use Your Illusion era? ... in which case Dizzy Reed is still their.

Also on the note of bands and their original members... should Megadeth change their name? And what about Queens of the Stone Age? Pretty both of those only have Mustaine and Homme (respectively) left in each. Obviously they were both the clear founders, though, in my opinion, and therefore hold full rights to the name.

Dunno how GnR formed, but part of me wants to say Axl Rose wasn't that much to do with it. Not sure, though.

I didn't know he was still doing those! I'd love to go see one.

I just looked it up, and he is coming to Philly March 11th, the venue is like 10 minutes from my house! I'll be attending for sure.
