Ok I am posting this because it has been discussed before but deserves it's own thread for sure. I am sick of all the naysayers who think it is totally out of the question for Peace Walker to be redone for a REAL gaming console. I am all for it being introduced for PSP btw, but I think the if the game really is good- and really is a significant part of the MGS SAGA then it needs to be remastered like they did with Twin Snakes (which was not that difficult BTW) and released for PS3. Here are the catches imop. Firstly, I don't think that if PW is lame- or the story is not that significant- or the game play bland that in this case it would "warrant" a total overhaul- but if the game really is "the missing link" in the MGS Saga- then it NEEDS a proper release for a real totally submersing game console like PS3. I know I would love to see another game with Snake ESPECIALLY on the PS3 level of game play and graphics. It would also be great to play as Snake in his younger form again. Would it sell? I would buy it. So I think it would. I think it should be done. I am not making the case that I think it will be done- that is another issue altogether- but I am clearly stating that Kojima needs to put down the bong and produce another great MGS game with the classic time tested formula. Give the people what they want. |

Or just wait for the inevitable 'full' sequel (or, dare I say it, Metal Gear 2 remake) after MGS: Rising is released |

Why would Kojima invest all that money in remaking an extraordinary PSP game onto consoles? You need to be realistic. |

Somewhere I heard Kojima doesn't really like HD games, so the PSP was his est choice. Besides, with this game he aims to a younger audience in order to get more fans. It seems in Japan kids have PSP's and love Monster Hunter. And he wants a "game of the year" kind of game for the PSP since he failed with PO. |

It's not just the Graphics, the entire game is designed for a portable console. It's not just a case of remaking and polishing. It will never happen. MG1 & 2 on the PS3 remade in one game, yes, I would very much like to see that. |

OH. MY. GOD. It's not going to happen. I think this happened once with like a Jak and Daxter game being ported from PSP to PS2, but no this is not going to happen. It's on the fucking PSP, GET. OVER. IT.

Happened with a R&C game too, but as I said before, this game is 100% designed for portable platform. Basically: |

We have arrived.
|
1.) You clearly aren't all for it being a PSP game. 2.) Twin Snakes was remastered, a couple of years after MGS's original release, for a Nintendo console, when the original of the MGS series was already on the Playstation, so I don't understand your point there. Twin Snakes sucked anyway. |

Yes Twin Snake sucked a lot. I wish PW would be on PS3, but it's ok, this is going to be a console quality game on a hand held, and it's going to be beautiful in every way, and after all the hard work they put into PW, I doubt Kojima and co. would even want to port it. That's so much more work. |
