This is the new Japanese culture when it comes to games. Anything negative, any mention of you not riking it, they get all pissy. It's biased, that's really obvious. |

I think it is funny because Kotaku Japan is owned by a different company, like it says in the article. Kotaku Japan had nothing to do with it, and they are being uninvited for it. What is Konami thinking? Oh well, I guess that's Bashcraft for us... |

Brother, rejoice! We're not copies of our father, after all!
|
i think it was an understandable reaction from konami. Why should they invite someone who said that they captivate famitsu?

I can sort of understand Konami. When I read the Kotaku article about Famitsu and PW on the train the other day I was like 'lolwtf what sort of Diana Conspiracy Theorist wrote this shite' |

Kotaku's article on Famitsu's 40/40 was loaded with horse doodoo regardless of how useless Famitsu is. They were so mellow dramatic about them giving PW a perfect score after the adverts that suddenly PW was "tainted?" I mean give me a break, what gaming article is stupid enough to post that kind of nonsense, even if it's true? Why bother drawing attention to it when it won't do you anything but harm? Famitsu's a bunch of unsubtle idiots, and Kotaku's a bunch of mellow dramatic idiots. So that said, who cares if Konami uninvites the self righteous jack-a-lopes? *I'm trying to be less vulgar you fucking chodes, deal with it or blow an elephant.* Edited by Doakes, Apr 27 2010, 04:05:13 PM.

The ironic thing is the article was written by Brian Ashcraft, who's been on the Kojima Productions Report before. |

I agree that the perfect score is a bit suspect but Konami were probably right to uninvite them. If someone spread rumors like that about me, I wouldn't be too happy. Still, I don't get the fact that they are two different companies, do they have any kind of connection, other than name? |

Oh yea, I remember I liked those two interviews. Wasn't it mainly because Ryan was friends with him, or was he there for an interview (I think it was both)? I love what I'm seeing though. Keep in mind people, that it was Kotaku Japan, which had NOTHING to do with it, that was uninvited from KONAMI'S party. |

John, do you, like, eat, sleep, and breath Snake Soup? Bashcraft is no ones slave. He doesn't seem to care about things like parties and wants to have real reporting. Going back to when he was on the KP Report, they were talking about companies checking their previews and interviews and how he doesn't want to do it. He is going to be a real journalist no matter what Bashcraft really does speek his mind and I respect him for that. To me, from what I got from it, Bashcraft was concerned that the review may have been leaned in PW's favor because they were included in the game (er... something like that. I don't remember EXACTLY what it was, something to that effect) and didn't want to let Famitsu get away with it. At this point, I think journalists and developers/publishers should be kept seperate. Either way, I salute Bashcraft for his article. No matter what kind of reputation or heat it will bring him. And you want to know why? Because when I am going to search for a review, I want it to be a pure unbiased review. Famitsu may or may not have had this, Bashcraft pointed it out. Keep up your work Brain! You're never going to find an unbiased review. There's always a degree of bias however small. Both are in the wrong really, Ashcraft slated Famitsu which was obviously not going to go well, then Konami got involved and just stirred things up even more. Drama in other words, that isn't really needed. |
