I'd say about 80% of all DLC released is already on the disk
Your made up statistics make me laugh.

I like DLC. If it's substantial and well priced (ie Fallout 3's Add-Ons, the GTAIV Episodes, and Halo 3's mappacks), then I think it's worth it.

It angers me when people think that just because some companies (I'm looking at you, Capcom and 2K Games!) screw over their customers with on-disk "DLC", that means ALL DLC is like that. :X:

As for the topic, if it's substantial (ie moar Extra Ops) then I'll buy it. If it isn't, I won't buy it.

Did I say fact? No. Fact is most of wouldn't be particularly told that information, so that's my guess since a huge amount of DLC is released very soon after releases.

Did I say every single company makes shitty DLC? No. I said a lot of DLC is piss-poor and is already on-disk, but there are certain companies that go to lengths to make DLC worthy of the full game itself. Look at the likes of Fallout 3 or LittleBigPlanet.

So please John, don't come barging in acting like you know it all when you don't read what other people say.

You said you think "80%" of all DLC is already on the disk, with nothing to back it up. Sure, you said it wasn't meant to be a fact, but why even post it then?
Just because DLC is released soon after the game's release doesn't mean it's already on the disk. Maybe they're just cashing in on the game? Actually, most good DLC comes out a couple of months or so after the game. I'd say that's enough time to produce substantial DLC.

If you think DLC is piss-poor, then obviously it isn't worth your money now, is it?
And from my understanding, no one is forcing you to buy it, correct?
Plus, I wasn't just talking about you. I know that many DLC haters go so far as to bitch about the GTA Episodes, the finest example of DLC. Seriously...
I'm sorry for being a cunt.

It's called a personal opinion John, i'd post more but 1) I'm too tired and 2)I'm too tired and it goes beyond logical thought.

Again, as you can see, I didn't say DLC is bad, but I said a lot of it is.

Apologies if the rest wasn't aimed at me, I assumed it was since you originally quoted me but then again that was the beginning of your post.

Edit: We're all way off-topic here anyway and I'm off for the night. Adios.

Okay, then the DLC that IS piss poor to you isn't worth your money.
My "just don't buy it" point still stands.

It was slightly aimed at you, but it was more of a rant than anything.

How are people actually bickering about DLC? As is PW's got a ton of content, and if the DLC never existed, you'd all probably be set with what PW has as is. DLC is just more to love, the argument that "It should have already been on the disc," is stupid, because how else are people going to get more money if it's on the disc? The point is to ADD more for an additional price. If you want to have a LITTLE more, then PAY a little more, why the hell would they include it for free? They already gave you more than enough to sink your teeth into, so you want more, then it's gonna cost you a little you greedy bastards.

Even IF the disc size could allow that, the idea is stupid as fuck from a marketing stand point. I swear to Carlin, anyone who says it should already be on the disc, has CLEARLY never taken Money Grubbin' Macro-Economics classes.

tl;dr: Buy it, don't buy it, just don't bitch about it. Simple as Apple Pie rape.

Oh noez. :P

Peace Walker has a mass amount of content already, for me it negates anyone saying "this should have been on there anyway". Let's be fair, you get more than what you pay for with PW; there is just a mass amount of content. Then it is perfectly reasonable for a company to ask me for more money for more.

If companies loaded there games too much charging too little, no games/good games would ever be made because they would not have the money to do so. Think.

I'm 'bitching' about it being included in a disc, then having to pay for it being unlocked. Not having DLC months after a release.

That's only speculation of course, no one ever knows if it is or isn't, they just assume it is and thus use it as a means to justify not wanting to pay for it. Again, we got a buffet to look forward to on PW, if you want some creme' brulette' on the side, then it's gonna cost ya, to quote Christopher Henderson, "That's the way it works."

Like Desert rape.
