i don't know what it is, its not like im less of an mgs fan then i was when mgs2 or 4 came out, but im just not that excited. Maybe because its on an elderly last gen hand-held, instead of on the ps3 where "mgs5" belongs... anyone else got that feeling |

Personally its the fact its on PSP that excites me, im interested in how the game will change on the handheld and how much they can push the little console. plus with the less graphical power i often thought last gen games or handheld games, when done well, had a more stylised, artistic feel to them. I want to see what they do with the system. |

I have a fantastic MGS game for PS3, I don't for PSP MGS4 was the game that made me buy a PS3, Peace walker is the game that made me buy a PSP, makes business sense to me. |

you're seriously the only one then cuz it's insane. ive been playing the JPN one on cfw and for a PSP game it's worth every penny i'll be spending once the NA version comes out. then i'll finally watch the cutscenes in english and know what's been going on, haha. gameplay and graphics are ridiculous. once story comes into play it'll be that much better. and the fact that all this goodness is on an "elderly" platform such as the psp makes it that much more amazing. the fact that you can put a true sequel to mgs in your pocket and play anywhere is a good selling point i say. this blows portable ops outta the water. i think that game is great but is out-classed by peace walker. so i guess you could say i'm excited for it, haha. |

I'm not counting that because I can play it on my PSP ...like it or not, MGS4 was the reason a lot of people bought a PS3, even if they didn't really like it in the end (I thought it was great (obviously not as good as the original but it's better the PO)). and I'm sure peace walker is reason enough for some people to buy a psp. |

The DEMO blew Portable Ops out of the water! The AC!D games blew MPO out of the water! ECHOCHROME blew MPO out of the water! So that's not saying much. Edited by JohnKiller118, May 27 2010, 06:44:07 PM.

i don't know Portible Ops was better then Ac!d, And i still pre ordered Peace Walker for the PSP, so they are getting my money. But as u some of you guys said its a business decision, Sony probably gave konami a bunch of cash, so bring life into the console |

Kojima is really focused on his market-penis. It shriveled up when fans didn't like AC!D. It shriveled up again when fans didn't like Portable Ops. The last straw was when he learned his son only riked PSP Metal Gear. This is as much business as it is personal, in my opinion. |

Meh I can kind of see where you're coming from. I'd like a new MGS game, particularly one starring Naked Snake, on the next generation consoles. But not Peace Walker. I was excited for Peace Walker for three reasons:
In terms of 1 and 3 PW delivers on so many levels it's unbelievable. The second point will have to wait until I've got a fully English version since I don't understand Japanese, I've only got half of the story since most of the backstory is delivered in the Briefing Files which I can't be arsed to check in case they're in Japanese (though I'd facepalm myself to oblivion if they were voiced in English). But Peace Walker isn't a 'next' generation game. It's a PSP game. One of the best PSP games and you should be excited for it rather than disappointed that it's not on PS3, because that's not the point of PW. |

One of the other reasons i wanted it on PSP was because it would shorten the production time hugely. I dont want to have to wait another 5 years to play a game that gets so much hype it cant possibly live up to it. Half Life 2 Episode 3 where art thou... |
