Spoiler: click to toggle What I meant was, couldn't the writers have waited until deeper into the season to have Herschel get bitten and his leg amputated lol. I just hate that won't be killing a ton of zombies anytime soon. Oh i get you now man! my bad!
Spoiler: click to toggle Im guessing they just wanted to start out strong and with a bang this year

TV Show and Comic comparison spoiler The scene where Hershel got his leg cut off is actually an almost panel by panel reenactment of what happened to the character of Allen in the comic series, not Dale. In the comic, they were clearing and exploring the prison and Allen got bit almost exactly like Hershel did. Subsequently, similar events transpired in which Rick frantically, and almost without hesitation, brutally chopped his leg off to try and stop the virus from spreading. The situation that happened with Dale losing his leg was a bit different. A fun fact on that, what happened to Allen in the comic was originally SUPPOSED to be Hershel, but Robert Kirkman changed it because he felt Hershel had already gone through so much up until that point that it should be a different character.

just complete season 3 episode 3,for me quality is very important and I would not like to waste time on shows that are boring or predictable. The shows biggest strength is its story which is gripping and intoxicating. Its Production values are top notch. The graphic Zombies make up and creating the "whole world's gonna end" scenario has been done extremely well.

I wasn't as keen on this week's episode.
Spoiler: click to toggle I never liked Andrea so I wasn't too pleased to have an episode focus on her so much. People are crazy about Michonne but I don't really care either way about her so far. I never liked Merle - I love Michael Rooker as an actor but I just dislike the character. The Governor could be interesting, and there are definitely a lot of questions raised with him having the military unit slaughtered, and of course a ton of zombie heads in tanks... My biggest takeaway from this week's episode was the prospect of having a fully functional "normal" town which is pretty interesting, and also looking forward to what will happen when Rick's group inevitable crosses paths with the Governor.

Spoiler: click to toggle Tonight's episode was fucking awesome. I have to say they, I actually think I'll miss Lori's character. Its shitty that she'll be gone. She actually hasn't done anything retarded this season.
Also, anyone watch the preview for next episode? Glenn needed 3 graves instead of just two? Who's the third? Could it be the prisoner they killed?

I think that since the FOX unit was part of the CIA, that they'd have given Zero some specifications to how it would be acceptable to run things, which probably meant that bagging your turds and carrying them around with you was tossed out the window, it'd be stupid anyway since even if it was bagged, the stench would've leaked out eventually, and I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure I'd be able to smell it if some random guy was crawling through the bushes carrying a bag of his own shit, especially if he put that and urinated in the same bag...yeah...not very stealthy.

Spoiler: click to toggle Honestly, I got a little weepy-eyed at the end of the episode tonight. Lori was a pretty aggravating character overall, but after being a fan of this show since the first episode aired, and being so attached to some of the characters, it sucked. I know that sounds really geeky and stupid but I don't care. I guess the most upsetting part about it was Rick's reaction - even if Lori sucked as a person for most of the show, I've been such a huge fan of Rick that seeing his grief was very powerful.
Anyway, I would've saved Lori instead of delivering the baby. Don't know how other people feel about this, but I absolutely do not see the logic in Lori basically sacrificing herself to save the baby - in any normal situation I would save a child's life over an adult's, but bringing a baby into a zombie apocalypse at the cost of the mother's life just has "bad idea" written all over it. First of all, how the hell are you going to care for an infant when every day is a struggle just to stay alive? Where are they going to find suitable food and clothing for a newborn in a prison? How will Rick manage to keep the group and an infant safe, especially with the prison's security apparently being compromised very easily in this episode? If Lori had simply lost the baby, obviously there's still a chance that she wouldn't have made it herself, but it could've potentially brought her and Rick back together, and after her recovery the group would've had another capable adult back at 100%, which is MUCH needed after T-Dog's death.
Also, trouble brewing in the Governor's camp? I definitely see Merle going rogue in order to find Daryl, and possibly filling the gap left by T-Dog that I just mentioned.
Finally, the gore was pretty satisfying in this episode! T-Dog had probably my favorite gory zombie death so far, and Lori being cut open was honestly kinda hard to watch.

Spoiler: click to toggle Lori would have most likely died regardless. There wouldn't have been a way to save her. Carl was a Cesarian, and that meant that this baby was going to have to be surgically removed as well. If they hadn't tried to get the baby out, and it had just died inside of her, it would have turned. There would have been a walker baby inside her that would have clawed at her insides until she died. There would have been no way to save her. Lori was dead the minute she conceived that baby with Shane.
Regardless, it was an emotional scene, and I'm more interested in seeing the effect of Lori's deaths on other people. Notably Rick and Carl. Rick looks like he's going to be coming unhinged even farther. When Lori died in the comic, Rick's only way of coping was to carry around a telephone and have pretend conversations with her and he still has never become the person he was before her death even about 60 issues later. Carl will never be the same again. Having to shoot Shane, who he saw as almost a second father was one thing, but having to shoot his mother to make sure she didn't come back as a walker? I can safely say that Lori's fears last season that he would become cold to the world and emotion is definitely going to come true.
This was such a fantastic episode. With T-Dog and Lori's deaths, the baby being born and Carol being missing it's really hard to believe this is only the forth episode of a 16 episode season.

I can't believe no one posted here. What're your thoughts about the ending of the last episode? To be honest that last episode was in my opinion the best of the entire series. I enjoyed it way too much, the things that are happening are great.

Spoiler: click to toggle I sure hope so. Daryl was in the preview of the next episode, so he won't die, I wonder about Merle. He's fucking awesome, I love him as an antagonist, and I wanted both Daryl and Merle to meet but not in that situation. I'm so fucking thrilled about what's going to happen next. It sucks to have to wait so long.

Spoiler: click to toggle I doubt that a lot, I don't know how they'll be able to go out alive, the both of them, maybe one of them will die. The Governor was incredibly angry with Merle, because Merle told him that Michonne was dead, and after that Michonne attacked the governor, killed his zombie daughter and took his eye. The Governor gave Merle the worst look when he met him after fighting Michonne, so I doubt this is just an act.

Spoiler: click to toggle Yeah, it seems to me that the Governor truly is "throwing Merle to the dogs" here. He seems to be more interested in whatever propaganda will keep him in power, without actually having any loyalty to the people who happen to be loyal to him.
I hate waiting til February.

Just finished Season 1
Spoiler: click to toggle I like the show, but I've not really been 'wowed' by it. Some of it has been really gripping and I'm going to procede to watch Season's 2 and what has aired of 3 because it is legitimately good. But I got to the last episode of Season 1 (I know it's only 6 episodes) but it dawned on me that I didn't really give a shit about the characters. Like with the big finale at the end where the old dude says "if you're going, I'm going" and they both head for the exit and survive, YAY! Right? I just didn't feel any compelling joy at characters surviving. They're just there. All whiny and stuff.
Procede to call me a heathen.

SPOILER ALERT, sorry I'm using an ipad and couldn't get a spoiler tag to work!
Spoiler: click to toggle I'm kind of wondering what the significance of Lorri's ghost is (the one that Rick sees in the end of S3 E9), I assume it's because he never said he loved her since Season 3 began and that he never apologised for being a dick towards her. Maybe also because of the fact that he never saw her dead body (maybe he wanted closure and/atonement) I feel that the ghost will become a recurring them for the remainder of the season.
Spoilered it for you

Spoiler: click to toggle I think the general significance is that Rick is unstable. And this will jeopardize the group in the upcoming episodes when they will really need a sane leader.

The Walking Dead is a top quality comic and t.v show
Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) is great in the series
I have done a sketch of Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) holding a sketch of issue 51 of The Walking Dead:
