I have the feeling it will be Daryl or Carol, they have seemed to get a lot of focus and seem to be taking out most of Negan's men. |

I doubt they'll kill daryl or glen (the guy who cant die). Probably carol because usually when a character gets a big storyline they die. Probably that ginger shagging chick will get clubbed. |

Anyone listen to the leaked Negan audio? I didn't because I'd rather see it live, but I hear it's brutal. |

I haven't heard it yet, but I think they really nailed the casting with him. I'm also waiting, and won't be suprised by a cliff hanger, but I fully expect someone to die. I actually like the direction Carol is going, because she is realizing how much she has changed, and is afraid of what she is willing to do for the people she cares about. I think the fight with Morgan affected her deeply, and then to meet a woman just like her shortly after it made her really examine herself. |

Man, Negans intro in the comic broke my fucking heart! To kill one of my favorite characters, in such a brutal way(even for TWD!) and in front of their friends/loved ones I have rarely been that effected by a comic. |

I thoroughly enjoyed the episode minus the cliffhanger. Negan complaints were needless nitpicky. This cliffhanger is getting universal hate, as it should. I truly have no remorse if Gimple was fired for this. It's one of the biggest middle fingers I've witnessed in media. As for that audio, it's not certain if that aspect was removed from the episode or if it's a result of editing tricks. Although I do agree with the audio about who dies, it wouldn't surprise me if Gimple picked Aaron just to insult us more. There's no way in hell this will remain a secret until October. The cliffhanger has been known for weeks, and literally every episode of this show (I kid you not) has spoilers known beforehand. Even with cheap editing of trailers, it's going to be easily narrowed down around comic con who is killed off. There's only so much the trailers can conceal. The Spoiling Dead essentially finds out everything. They follow the filming after all. Furthermore, I feel so bad for the actors. Rumor has it they aren't even aware who is killed off. How can Gimple leave a lingering doubt if you have a job next season? Worse yet, if the person does know then they have to put on a facade for the next seven months. Going to comic con, going to set, etc despite having absolutely no role minus possible flashbacks. Gimple's reasonings were such crap too. This was a mere cop-out to boost viewings for the seven premiere. The guy is a joke, and I frankly hope he is fired from the vocal backlash. This is worse than anything Darabont or Mazzarra did. What's troubling is this is another MGSV. Months of a promised payoff and it was utter lies. Negan made an incredible entrance, but this scene concludes and ruins the total impact. It's an embarrassment to the comics. I see no way it can redeem itself, even if the premiere picks up instantly from this very scene. |

Heisenberg You have a semi point with the MGSV Analogy but they gave you an idea of who it was that went on a date with Lucille based on where Negan stood before he started swinging at the end their. But at the same time I thought that "The Not Seeing it" was brilliant as anyone whose read the comics knows how brutal it was visual so only hearing the brutality of it hearing the screams is far more powerful as you have to imagine what's going on in your head. So yes while a great many people were likely put off by the decision I however was not. |

I don't expect the premier to pick up where it left off, I expect them to back up a bit, and show us how some other character got to where they are. Maybe a little background on Negan, or filling in the blank in Dwights story, between when Daryl first meets him to where he is now. I think we will see the scene play out from a different perspective. I am fully expecting it to be Glen who dies, but also wouldn't be too suprised if they change it to someone else, though I really don't think it should be Aaron, the impact of killing one of the oldest group members would be so much more powerful. As for the actor not knowing they are dead next season, it's kinda the way it goes in TWD. The actors get the script for the episode they are filming, with no real idea about any future details. It's really pretty standard in the industry, though the mortality rate is much higher on TWD than most shows. As for the complaint about showing the group get cutoff several times(sorry don't remember who brought it up) it wasn't about showing that the Saviors could predict the groups next move. The point was to show how out of their depth the group really was. They started a war with a group they knew nothing about, and have all grown so confident that they can handle anything together. What the Saviors did not only showed organization and intelligence, but it showed they also had the numbers, and the equipment to set up this elaborate trap, so by the time it is sprung the group had a much better understanding of what they were dealing with. The reason this is important is the Saviors don't want to kill them all, they want to fold them into their "workforce". Ricks group is strong, and capable, so it goes to reason that Negan would want them even more than a group like Hilltop or the library. Without the elaborate trap, there is little chance that Ricks group wouldn't fight, and end up doing a lot of damage to the Saviors, but also themselves. It's basically a lose lose for Negan, less me following him, and less people to provide for them. As for any Negan hate.... I don't know what to say except you gotta be joking me. I though he was pretty perfect. Not really going to go into details on this one though, because it's pretty much just a personal opinion thing. Now on to the cliffhanger. I'm not going to tell anybody their wrong for not liking this cliffhanger, or cliffhangers in general. It's another on of those personal opinion things. What I will say is it's been a staple of Comics and shows for longer than any of us have been alive. It's also REALLY common in TWD comic, hell even several of the TPBs end in a cliffhanger! Remember when the last page was an army with a tank rolling up on he prison? I don't mind the cliffhanger at all, and I don't see it as a "stunt", but I won't argue with anybody who doesn't see it that way, and can understand why they would be upset. |

The cliffhanger was a terrible terrible idea completely killed all momentum. Sometimes the decisions people make in media astonish me, like WHY? Are people just insane? Did they not think it'll get spoilt.

At the end of the day for a show like this they likely don't care that a move like this hurts the quality of the show. People are going to be talking about this until the next season airs and the ratings will likely continue to grow. This was obviously a business decision. |
