So, saw the leaked version. Loved it, pretty much every single moment of it. The opening threw me off for a second as I couldn't remember it in the comic so the fanboy in me immediately was pissed off, but then the little girl showed up... Plus its been ages since I've read the first few stories, so I couldn't really be sure. Everytjing about it, except for a few minor things, looks absolutely perfect for the story and "faithfulness" to the source, which was awesome. The music was great, the makeup team deserve an award for manging the zombies in what is only a TV show, I haven't seen makeup that good in a zombie film since Quarantine (say what you will about the fact that it's a shameless remake of [REC] the VFX and makeup in that film are amazing). Only gripe is that Rick doesn;t really look what I expected Rick to look like. As TWD is a black and white book, I always pictured Rick as being blonde, plus he's a lot gaunter than the actor playing him. But I'll give it a while, dude doesn't even have ap proper beard yet. But he's a great actor. Plus I was a little annoyed by Shane's actor, he looks so mcuh like Dominic West that a huge part of me wishes West was playing him. But apart from those two, what I've seen of the main cast look absolutely perfect, especially Lori and Carl. Looking forward to seeing it on TV though, |

Best pilot episode I've ever seen. OK, I'm exaggerating, but It was really cool. I'm really looking forward to more episodes. Probably going to pick up the novels sometime this week. |

Saw the whole thing, Loved it. Great to see a more realistic take on the zombie apocalypse, didn't expect the emotional parts to be done so well too. They took a few liberties but I'm not mad at it...at least not yet .

Saw it just now. I really enjoyed watching it. I'll give season 1 a try considering its only going to be 6 episodes long. I want to read the comics now. |

Can someone explain how this series' zombies work? Do they see by sound or just normal sight?

"Woody 'Francis' Harelson"! Too bad he's not in the cast, probably would have gotten sued by Valve.

2003 sweet. As for tonight's episode. Great! I really liked how they worked in the part with Rick and Glenn getting covered with guts. |

this i like Shane thus far, he's cold/smart enough to know that you HAVE to cut your losses when people are trapped. you can't go risking the lives of everyone for a few people, i expect that he wouldn't have the problem that the black guy from ep 1 would about killing an infected that you know personally. |

If they follow the comic, we'll see how much you still like him in an ep or two *laughs to himself in the mirror* Biggest gripe this ep, Lori being a tad loose, in the comic when "the thing" happened it was only once and she was hella reluctant, matter of fact she thought of it as a mistake. |

It can't be for nothing

Great episode on Sunday. I love this series so far. I really hope that it lasts awhile past season 2 because I think it could be really great. However, I am wondering how long of a time gap was it between when Rick was shot in the first episode to when he woke up in the hospital after the infection happened? This might be explained in the comics or later down the line but there are so many plot holes there it's ridiculous. -How did Rick just get left there in the hospital all by himself? -Assuming it's at least a month later how did he survive in a coma when the IV would definitely be drained and he wasn't hooked up to a feeding tube? -Even if he was just left in the hospital by himself (which he obviously was), we know the zombies roam everywhere even into the sewers for unknown reasons. How did they not smell him in the hospital and come to kill him already? -Did Shane intentionally leave him there to put the moves on his wife? -Did the wife even try to get him out of the hospital after the infection started or did she just run away? If these questions are answered later on (to those of you that have read the comics) then don't tell me. If not, does anyone have any speculation on how this happened? |
