Strike Back

Post all your Mother Base statistics and any tips you have here. Combat: 70 R&D: 96 Mess: 65 Medical: 77 Intel: 70 A great way to get good soldiers if you have lots of Heroism points (over 10000) is to use the Soldier Search option. When you can no longer find any more APs to scan, simply save, go to the PSP's main menu, put your clock forward 2/3 days, restart MPW and start scanning again. I've gotten so many fantastic soldiers doing this, give it a try! |

Combat Unit: 75 R&D: 99 Mess Hall: 56 Medical: 59 Intel: 94 It's really disproportionate because I just got rid of all my C's. Mission 49 gives an S-Rank tech POW. |

Combat: 94 R&D: 99 Mess Hall: 95 Medical: 95 Intel: 94 I'm pretty sure I've got high enough stats to build all my weapons, I just need to search for a few more specs. There are several levels that are really good for farming A and S rank soldiers. |

Combat: 63 R&D: 75 Mess Hall: 57 Medical: 57 Intel: 82 I know how to grind a good Intel team. Anyone know how I can get more of the others? Edited by JohnKiller118, Jul 3 2010, 04:17:51 AM.

Combat: 99 R&D: 99 Mess Hall: 99 Medical: 99 Intel: 99 Im running out of things to do in this game. I got all my best combat unit Soldiers from Ex Ops 75 using the fulton C Gustav. Soldier search still yields shitty results and my heroism is over 90k. Whatever. Combat was the hardest unit to lvl for me. |

91, 99, 96, 98, 96, from Combat unit to intel, left to right. As far as Mother base tips, for that final development of the base, anything over level 90 should do the trick... unless when i build this final hex Another development crops up. Bar that, and stuff that'd need a spoiler tag(Which the PS3 refuses to understand) to tell, not much i can say. Papparazi mission 1 helped with the mess hall early on, with the B-grade cook. guess he was part of the commander's staff. 49, while better for tech and medical, has at least one B or above spy/combat unit guy in the patrols. usually he's in the first or second areas, but it varies. While the Soldier Search doesn't always work, if you're on a long journey it'll pass the time, and you will get a few A or S grades in among the 20-odd B's or worse... i say that with my mere 69,698 heroism, so it might change as you progress for all i know. back around the 20,000 level though got me my best troops. probably as it was the first time i Tried the recruiting thing. |

Medic: extra Op 26 (POW) Research: extra Op 49 (recruiting soldiers here also allow you to develop the patriot if you have the design) Intel: the sniper on top of the hill in main Op: rescue Chico and the main Op after that. Food: the first area in extra Op 46 (some of them will have the skills that allow you to develop rank 3, 4, and 5 ration). Note: your hero points will also affect the stats of these soldiers, except the sniper. They will always have S rank in intel. ________ Mine are all in the 90s, cba to check. |

I just want to clarify: You guys only get a max of 200 heroism per mission right? So when you have 20k and up, you are just grinding the shit of the game? I've played for, what feels like, over 20 hours and my heroism is only around like.. a few thousand. o.< |

NA region MGO: -SAYARA- , Squidlip , Glasgow =) JP region MGO: Momotaros, Sakurai Yuuto, souHIGHdesu PM me if you have the JP game, I need friends who want to play tactical on EITHER region. Plays from time to time..

You can get Heroism points for meeting certain criteria in which you get Insignias for, which incluedes a reward of Heroism points. For example, when I used CQC over 1000 times, I was rewarded with 5000 Heroism points. There are about 74 Insignias I think, so there's plenty of opportunity to get lots of Heroism points. Go to Player Data, then Profile and press the R button to go to the last section where it'll show your Insignias. |

Jesh how much time have you played so far? I'm nearly at 50 hours gametime and I still need here and there a spec ops to do. My heroism is only at 10k right now and my teams are something like 65, 70, 55, 60, 70. However I haven't really tried to farm any soldiers nor have I done really many missions twice just to get the same good soldier time and time again. Spoiler: click to toggle

i haven't even beaten the game yet. i'm only up to After beating the peace walker mech One time and as far as my stats go they're: Heroism: 23840 (so far) Combat: 92 R&D: 99 Mess Hall: 99 Medical: 99 Intel: 71 i found a lot of really great soldiers thru AP Recruiting. i did this while i was as either home, taking the bus/train, at work or lunch break. i found that after a while you can only find so many AP soldiers but i dunno if it's only cuz i haven't beaten the game yet. and i've acquired 78+ hours of playtime already! hahah. i really like stretching this game out additionally, one of my favorite things to do is Recruit soldiers cuz you raise ur Heroism so much faster when you get a group of 3 or more recruits and can pull off an awesome CQC chain. I once got 7 recruits in a cqc chain and added 240 hero points. and another time where i got 3 recruits in a cqc chain to give me 200 hero points cuz they kept getting up hahah. sometimes the chain gets broken if one of the recruits fights back (which happened to me recently which was kinda awesome cuz i thought they were just mindless grunts). i realized later that the soldiers who fight back had higher stats. in my experience it's usually the female ones, hahah. I don't do much grinding or play the game that much. I only grind and play Extra Ops when I'm after something I want developed (i.e. the Rank 4 Walkman). I just play the game for the story, mostly. ![]() Anyway, in my current playthrough: Combat Unit: 40 R&D Unit: 69 Mess Hall Team: God.. something abysmal like 29? Medical Team: 40 Intel Team: 50 Theres always a Rank B R&D prisoner in ExOp 16, but I'm not sure where I can find a Rank S one, I'm not really that bothered now, anyway. |
