If you mean on the tapes, it's the song "Sing" from The Carpenters. But I reckon you mean the song when Snake remembers his fight with The Boss. I can't even remember the tune now, though, might dig into it later. |

It's "Snake Eater" being played somewhat abstractly on piano. Listen closely. You can really hear it around :45-:55. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDF1US7DkjY Makes me wonder whether it will be on the soundtrack. Supposedly the whole soundtrack comes with that little mp3 player you can buy. I haven't found it anywhere else yet. Since the song is so simple and a variation on a song from MGS3, I'm not sure it is something with an actual name. Edited by SuperGeekGirl, Aug 29 2010, 09:57:51 PM.

Hmm... Guess I'll just have to wait and see if it will pop up somewhere because I think it's a nice song.

I know where you're coming from, I thought that piece of music was beautiful when I first heard it. Really added to the emotion of that scene. I haven't got the soundtrack yet (I planned to once I'd FULLY completed the game), but I really hope (although, sadly, doubt) that it's on there. But SuperGeekGirl is right, it's a revised piano version of Snake Eater, and since it's so brief, it's very likely it's not on the soundtrack. I hate it when that happens in soundtracks. The best parts are untraceable. It's like in MGS4 (noone remembers it) when you're running down the dwarf gekko hallway before the microwave scene and the audio flashbacks play, I really loved the action music in the background that plays, but it's not on the soundtrack, unfortunately and I can't find it anywhere. On a side note, that mp3 player you can get looks sick. I wanna get my hands on one when I get a bit of money. I thought it was a good idea having an mp3 player with considerable space wireless with the earpiece being the MP3 itself. I don't know about anyone else, but I also like the music that plays in the little bits of dialogue that sometimes come up after a mission. But the mission select theme is fucking sick, no doubt. |

I'm planning on getting the MP3 player when I get some money, probably after Christmas. The only sad thing is that it doesn't have much space on it compared to other MP3 players. I hope I can move the soundtrack files into iTunes so that I can put other stuff on it too. |

Is there a Peace Walker soundtrack that you can buy, like the one that came with the special edition of MGS4? |

Yes, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Original Soundtrack was released on Apr 14, 2010. I did hear however that it's really, really expensive. |
