nope, there's quite a few differences between them, to sum it all up, the multi purpose one has a bigger explosion, but does a hell of alot less damage then the standard one, whereas the standard has a smaller explosion, but does more damage.

think of the multi purpose one as an anti infantry grenade launcher, not really that useful against anything else.

When I last played it I used the RPG7, Gustav and the MG30. When the launch commence I usually use six RPG rockets the 1 or 2 Gustav rockets but, the countdowns get shorter and it takes so long to reload the gustav, not to mention that it fires rockets at me when I shoot it.

are you shooting directly into the missile launchers hatch? that's almost gaurunteed a one hit nuke launching stop, maybe two.

if you have access to them, the M47, and the M202A1(i think that's what it's called, it's a four shot rocket launcher) are much better then the Gustav and the RPG7.

normally, if she turns her back to you, you gotta go on an angle to her left, so you can score some hits on the AI pod, which is the second best area to shoot at if you can't hit the missile launcher from the front.

the M202A1 is gotten by S ranking ex ops 107.

the M47 is gotten by S ranking ex ops 111.

Forget about AP weapons and LMG's, you need all of your best rocket launchers
The LAW, RPG and CG Rocket will be the best weapons to use, also take the Suppy Marker with you
Aim for the area that does the most damage.
Now about the EM pulse, when Peace Walker activates it. Go under PW's body (the Flamerthrowers will be deactivate if EM pluse is turn on so you should be safe). While your under PW's body the EM pulse should turn off quickly but beware of the flamerthrowers since they will be reactivated once the EM pulse is turned off.
I've done this tatic it works

Another suggestion about stopping the Launch, if you have Level 5 Analyser, you should be able to see PW's body parts health in the menu. The part with the lowest health, continue damaging that part until it is destoryed and PW will cancel out the Launch.

For the most part that sound pretty effective, but if I used all my rocket launchers wouldn't I waste my ammo fast?

I'm pretty sure if I use all my rockets it still wouldn't be enough even with the supply markers. The rockets won't do that much damage and I'll end up runnig out of supply markers.

Try not to miss, and carry 3 rocket launchers with you.

Using the Carl Gustav, the RPG7 and the LAW, I had lots of Supply Markers left. I don't see why you should run out of them.

Well I give it a shot but, I don't expect it to work.

Leveling up your Intel team would help you alot when requesting for supply requests
like if you have a Rank A support team then,
If you requested for a supply support you'll get 4 items on the box they'll drop
it includes Rationsx2
:)

sry for bad english. i may only have 2 posts, but i finish this game 100% (well, not rly 100%, i only do not have all codenames)

play vs the normal peace walker in the main ops, so u can learn to dodge its attacks. level up carl gustav (normal not multi purpose) to level 5. u can stop nuke launching in 1 or 2 shot when hitting the reptile pod
( or the missile hatch). bring ur m60 ap for when it goes into em pulse AND when it goes into the water, u go under her (when shes in water) and keep shooting the reptile pod. she will just keep trying to hit u with missiles, but since ur under her, she wont hit u :)

when she goes behind the walls, its time for u to reload all ur guns and call for supply. ALWAYS hit the head or the pod and dont forget to elvel up ur rations to level 5 (curry if possible too). level 5 rations saved ma ass a lot of times :) (they recover 90% of ur life)

and ALWAYS save 1 or 2 carl gustav shots for the missile launching mode
