Metal Gear Solid	I've noticed in any Metal Gear game where the Stinger is used, that it can lock on to normal soldiers. This gave me the impression that is can lock on to small electronics (Radios, for one), since soldiers were probably carrying them. So does the Stinger really do that, or is that an overlooked detail, or just a gameplay thing?

Metal Gear Solid	Stinger missles use a heat-seeking system that, as you might have geussed, tracks high levels of heat. So you can basically shoot anything you want if the area is hot enough. I dont think a soldier would want to have anything that hot on him though.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater	the stinger is strictly a ground to air weapon. the sensors do not track heat the lock onto Infared images that are made by jets, helicopters, tanks and other vehicles. the thing is the warhead is specifically designed to take down aircraft. it likely wouldn't punch through tank armor. though i can't really say, i'm not trained in the weapon system. maybe one of the Soldiers or Marines on this forum will tell us.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater	The Stinger missile is incapable of locking on to such targets as human(or seagulls). Also, a standard Stinger missile will not destroy a tank. However, a modified high-velocity model will indeed do the trick. KILL! KILL!! KILL!!!
