Back to the topic, I'd like to see some Russian stages, but the Omega Base seems cool, and some African stages would be cool, since Big Boss fought in Africa during the 70s. |

You've got to be trolling... That sounds even more unrealistic than Knight and Day scenes. 1. How would the enemy "notice what's going on" if Snake was pretending to be a casual drinker? 2. Snake wouldn't stand a chance against 20 ninjas. |

I'd like to be able to explore mother base, if not all of it maybe just more of it. I thought it was a shame that we only got to see only 2 to 3 areas of mother base :l |

1. Snake is a pretty well known guy in Tokyo - he blends in perfectly for a while, but then an identity expert among the enemy spots him and all hell breaks loose. 2. With tactical positioning and a high level training in CQC, a skilled operative can take up to 30 trained assailants. Trust me - this is something I know A LOT about. |

I stumbled across this thread. Obviously Mosely's theories didn't come true for GZ - what do we think of them with regards to TPP? |

Seeing all this talk about Katana has me confused. I have a bit of knowledge about blades(I can even forge Broadsword and katana). And if my life ever depended on a sword I would pick a Broadsword every time. They are both relatively close in weight with Broadswords being the heavier of the two. I did an experiment with two expertly forged Broadswords and Katanas and weather you hit the Katana with a Broadsword or you hit the Broadsword with a Katana the result is always a damaged Katana and a still verry much useable Broadsword. P.S. When making the test it was me and a frind usein the swods to attack eacother and we used the swords exactly how they were designed to be used. |
| I was target shooting once when my brother said snipeing was easy, so I let him use the gun. Now he knows how hard it is to make that one shot the first try. | |

Sounds like a smart idea to handle a huge sword with your friends to test their durability... what could possibly go wrong with that? |

Three cuts a broken rib many many bruises and my friend loseing ten bucks. We were wearing chainmail and other protective gear. Plus I think you are thinking of the wrong sword when you hear Broadsword in reality a Broadsword was a Knights equivilant to the Katana. A Longsword was the Knights larger sword. |

It's mostly just a matter of Reality is Unrealistic as TVTropes would put it. Media shows us katanas as those super durable swords that can cut through steel, and that kind of stuck which is why most people see them different to other swords. |

Noone realy it was just an observation born out of boredom. Back on topic. I think an entirely offshore area would be cool. With islands, oil rigs, and boats(from large ships that can be boarded down to a smaller more stealthy craft to use to get from place to place). |

We know Afghanistan and possibly Cyprus are in. Africa is a very strong possibility - most likely Mozambique and South Africa which are right beside each other. I'm hoping for a US setting since we haven't had a mainland US setting outside of cutscenes aside from offshore facilities and vessels and that few minutes we spent in Manhattan twelve years ago. Washington D.C. or Arlington, Virginia seem like the most likely locations story wise but anywhere is possible. I also wouldn't mind some gameplay in the jungles of Nicaragua. |
