I hate people who are against gay people...I mean, what is there to hate?
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." - Leviticus 18:22. That single line in the bible is responsible for all the hate towards gays. That and, it's just human nature for the majority to bully the minority/powerless.

There's a lot of opposition towards gay parents adopting, shame when halve the gay community would make better parents the straight couples.
Do you have proof of that? Not that I have anything against gay marriage or adoption but I don't see how one person is 50% more likely (or less likely) than someone else because they're of a different sexuality.
Is it just me, or do normal ass phrases get taken to a level they dont even intend to reach themselves on this forum. Like "half the time, i dont even care."

Does that literally mean 50% of the time i dont care? or does it mean most of the time i couldnt give a shit.

Hell, even "most of the time" could be turned into this. "DO YOU HAVE PROOF 98% OF THE TIME YOU DONT GIVE A SHIT?"

Come on guys, they are common phrases. You dont have to be so literal all the time.

Im not mad, or really even aiming this statement at any one person. It seems like everyone is taking common phrases and turning it into literal phrases.

When someone says "half the time" 98% of the time they dont literally mean 50%. and no...i dont have proof because i dont need it.

I'm very proud to see France allowing gay marriage but still feel ashamed for the massive amount of protestations and fights which occured before the law was voted. However, in a way, it had a "good" thing : to display the real face of my country. And show that it's still stuck too much back in the past and has too much archaic values. I hope we'll evolve and realize that we should build our future and stop sighting when looking back in the past.

Cool to hear a French opinion on this. The protests shouldn't be a reflection on your people and I wouldn't take any personal shame in it. Narrow mindedness and bigotry transcends borders.
