I get your passion, and I like it.I thought you told me to f**k off there 3. Of course anyone can fake those drawings but I suspect the ones the conspirators use have been through some sort of carbon dating and process to see if they are legit. But do you not think that that is a valid argument? Not real-time footage, but it is 80 hours long. We can argue to we're are blue in the face, but me and millions of others "believe" that the object is a UFO. There are lots of other videos as well, of different UFO's and objects around the sun as well as space anomalies near it. Let's not get into a heated debate about, because quite frankly i'm not really that bothered about the subject, I just find it very fascinating. What other theories do you follow Fear? If it's in my library, i'll pick it up. Edited by Tazmo, Jun 4 2013, 05:53:34 PM.

lol wut? any proof of that? -- Conspiracies in my mind are the government's suggesting that individuals have power, stuff like that the US president actually has an power, or that the US hasnt invaded countries for money. Or a belief of mine, that the CIA is one of the largest influences on international events, cash flow, and whatnot. The CIA runs drugs. They did it during Nicaragua, its not a stretch to assume they still do, what with all the CIA aircraft crashimg with payloads full of Cocaine. CIA isnt here to bring the truth and set us free, they keep the poor beaten down and the rich feeding off of the rest. |

The burden of proof relies on you. There's absolutely nothing proving GW is real. All the ''huge'' climate changes are far from unheard of, and since 1998, the average global temperature has been decreasing, because the temperature of the planet changes naturally from time to time (that is a phenomenon known since the Cold War). |

Well, anything that I can find a degree of measurable proof in, mostly political. Wars, false flags, political assassinations, intelligence agencies instigating revolutions abroad. Basically this:

Ancient alien cave drawings: Even ones that are found to truly be ancient, IMO aren't evidence of aliens. As far as I can tell, proponents of the cave drawing hypothesis are really just misinterpreting the art, as a result of several different factors. Mainly though, it's people grossly misrepresenting the capabilities of ancient humans. The human being's capacity for knowledge, rationalization, imagination, etc, has not changed since the dawn of anatomically-modern man 200,000 years ago. A human being from back then's capacity for intellect is just the same as a human being's today (and if anything, I feel that ancient humans like the Neanderthals may have, in fact, been more intelligent) - the only difference is that modern humans have a couple thousand years of recorded history that has brought our understanding of science and technology to where it is today. So it really annoys me when people take the ancient cave drawings and religious texts and mythology and claim it's evidence of ancient aliens creating us or whatever. They're fucking stories made up by intelligent beings, just like humans still make up stories and draw crazy things today. And of course the earliest humans would depict their gods as coming from the sky - their very existence depended on the sun and the elements of nature, which they didn't understand at all. So they personified these elements and made them into deities. Also, the ancient alien proponents completely ignore evolution. If aliens created us, what about all the other life forms on earth before us, some of which we evolved from? Now, if someone were to say that the most basic life that originally inhabited earth was of alien origin, that could very well be possible. About global warming: I don't know enoug on the topic to say much, but to build on what Freeman said, the earth definitely goes through different periods of hot/cold (see: the ice ages, the "warm period" that correlates to the Viking age, etc). There have definitely been crazy things with the weather and fluctuations in temperature, but whether it's actually caused by humans is debatable. It could very well be the earth coming into a natural period of a colder or warmer climate. (Honestly I don't really think it's "warming.") Anyway, I really don't get into conspiracy theories or follow any. I just like to refute them on forums when I see them because 99% of it is nonsense. The closest thing I'm interested in, which really isn't a "conspiracy," is that it's very likely that the Neanderthals didn't go extinct; rather, they bred with Homo sapiens and were absorbed into the population. (Based on a finding from a couple years ago that much of modern human DNA matches Neanderthal DNA.) |

Agree with everything Fear has said obviously, but I can see why aliens would not want to contact us and watch us from afar. There's a possibility we're still seen as too primitive and violent to contact and risk their technology falling into our hands. |

It's hard to say, Granin. Depending on how far away said aliens are, they may not know much about us at all. Little enough to be curious, maybe. But any TV broadcasts, radio, etc that goes into space obviously travels at the speed of light, so if they're any more than 80 or so light years away, they wouldn't have gotten any news of us at all yet. Or if they're only a few light years away, they've got a plethora of news reports of wars, bombings, school shootings, etc. But at the same time they can see our developments in science as well, and easily pick up anything we've sent out looking for contact ourselves. |

I do like the idea of aliens accepting us into some form of space federation. That'd be some Mass Effect-y shit right there! I probably sound like an idiot but it would be really cool if something like that happened, I doubt it would happen in my lifetime though Edited by BULUPTAX, Jun 6 2013, 01:17:50 AM.

So, all the dozens of reports and pretty much watertight theories of Greenhouse build-up and Ozone Depletion are just false? Considering we're having some of the hottest summer's and warmest winters in years, and that the glaciers are receding beyond belief, I'd say that the burden of evidence is on anyone stubborn enough to keep their head in the sand amidst all this evidence that SOMETHING is warming the earth. |

The good ol' Illuminati conspiracy theories. Oh, the hours i've spent fighting those theories off in YouTube's comment section, people pretty much, if they want to see something in well...anything, they'd see it. If I put up a projector in my room, some guy will come in, say the light from the projector is the eye from the illuminati, and the angles it lines up with make the triangle. Hell, weren't the Olympics supposed to go boom last year? Also, there is always one fundamental flaw: if I was taking over the world secretly through government and corporation, wouldn't I leave no trace at all? why the hell would they leave all those traces, all those signals, everything? aren't they extremely organized and think things hundreds of years ahead? There are also dozens of reports giving actual scientific explanations for all the natural phenomenons (that again, are far from being unheard of) that are happening right now (and have been happening since as far back as we have info of) No, not even close. If we're talking historically, then I'd have to lol at that statement. If we're talking about the last 15 years then again, no. The average temperature of the planet has been cooling since 1998, that doesn't mean every single city is getting cooler, just the average temperature of the globe, so yeah you can conveniently find cities and reports of ''hottest summer in the last X years'' in isolated places every year, that means absolutely nothing to this little hypothesis (not theory, hypothesis) of Global Warming. |

Personally, last summer was hot as shit. But this winter, the entire month of January rarely got over 10-15 degrees F (which is low for the way winters here have been). |
