And since we're on the trailer thread: I know it said realistic passage of time, but does he mean like, real time? or just more realistic than 24 minute cycles?

Speaking of Quiet, I'm interested to know what sniper rifle that is. It almost looks like some type of Harris/McMillan rifle.

It reminds me of the PSG-1, for some reason. I don't think the timelines match up, though. But eh, Kojima is a bit lax when it comes to accuracy regarding history.

He's a bit lax when it comes to who is dead and who is alive.

all this is a little weird. The timeline is confusing. Big Boss fell into a coma around 1975, and thats when the cloning process took place, yet the database states it took place in '71 and the clones were born in '72. Other metal gear wiki's have the dates all mixed up.

i know were probably not in Liberia (who knows) but it would be nice to see Raiden as a child solider somehow in this game.

He was injured and fell into a small coma in 1971, and in 1974 he was put into a 9 year coma.

Simple to understand.

Having Raiden would be unnecessary. He never met Big Boss, he was there in the time of Solidus. And the database is VERY inconsistent.

It's not simple when the info is hidden. where did you get this from?

I didn't mean for it to have any relevance to the story, just like a simple easter egg.

Oh yeah, an Easter eggs of sort...
Eh, won't be that bad. Even if it means a retcon. And he got that info from well...the games and Kojima. It's been stated that it's a 9 years comma, and it's been said that he entered a short comma.

I know of a coma, just never ran into or heard about two coma's. I'm sure it would be better explained once the game releases.

We have arrived.
Has Kojima confirmed the person with the bomb inside them was Paz? I mean seriously, we already know now that Big Boss manages to find Chico (and in Camp Omega from the looks of things) and if this is true then we also already know that he rescues Paz.
Watch this space.

Apparently it has been confirmed in the latest Kojipro Alert! podcast or whatever they're called, but I haven't checked it yet for myself.

WHAT, SWEEP?!
Question: Why is Big Boss strangling Chico, if that's what he is even doing? Is this just a quick punishment because Chico ratted on him, because we see Chico (in what we assume to be) at a later point in the game, during the package extraction scene, meaning that BB didn't actually kill him?

Also, if he is strangling him, what's with the cross-arm position? :hmm:.

I'd love to have this cleared up :D!

Returned from the abyss...I guess.
I thought I saw Snake's hands around Chico's throat at one point during the trailer

I'm not sure Big Boss is strangling him. His arms were in a weird position to be doing that, and Chico didn't seem to be struggling much.

He is probably trying to figure out what Chico did.. obviously Chico has betrayed them. Then they go off to get Paz.. bust her open. Looks like Chico and Paz don't come back either. Wonder if Chico just offs himself because of the horror. Would make this game.. REAL.
