Box camo so enemies would be confused when they find a box within a box.

Quiet Uniform (or lack of :P ) - blend in with the environment by exposing as much skin as you can.

My guess is that MGS5 will feature less camouflage options than MGS3. It will be more like Peace Walker, but with more options of course and not as simplified.

So I think you can make loadouts, or like online FPS players call them, "classes". You can make five or maybe even ten loadouts and after you've selected a mission, you don't have to create a specific loadout again, but you just pick one you've already made and maybe you change some things around, like choosing stun grenades instead of normal grenades.

This system incorporates camouflage too, of course. So I'd say it works the same way as it does in Peace Walker, where you can choose between all the different skins and it shows you how well you blend into different environments such as snow, sand, normal jungle, swamp, whatever... and you select it and that's it. You have to wear that outfit for the entire mission and you can't change it. Maybe it's possible to select an outfit and have another one in one of the military "backpacks" (lol that's what I call that thing he always has on the lower left side of his back) Big Boss wears. So you can change into the other one in the midst of a mission.

But I don't know... since MGS5 is supposed to be more realistic, I believe that you can't change camouflage during a mission. However, I like the idea of having to call a support helicopter that drops a supply box or something like that (you know, like the supply markers in PW) where you can order specific camos or weapons/ammo and equipment, but it will cost you money and of course you'll have to either drop the stuff of similar value that you got on you or send it back to Mother Base or Diamond Dogs. The selectino process and all that will of course be done through the iDroid.

Now that I think of it... someone brought up the idea of BB's cybernetic red arm to replace the iDroid from GZ in TPP.

It would look cool in my opipion if the hologram came out of the palm of his hand. Maybe the iDroid was specifically created for GZ, because BB doesn't have the arm yet? And, furthermore, in GZ, BB holds the iDroid in his right hand, whereas the robot arm is his left arm. The change in the side of where the hologram is projected from would also be nice symbolism. GZ changed BB, and the change in side could symbolize it. I know this is somewhat farfetched, but it's just an idea, and I'd really like it if they did it that way.

And by the way, I wouldn't create a camo as much as I'd create a unique situation during the story where Big Boss finally wears his awesome trenchcoat and badass boots, but the trenchcoat needs to have short arms (I want to see that robot arm!). Imagine Diamond Dogs being attacked by XOF and they even send child soldiers.

Then, imagine Big Boss having to defend DD from the intruders, but he has no time to change into a battle uniform and just has to pick up a gun and knife (he always carries a knife and a pistol) and fight them off. Man... it'd send chills down my spine if Big Boss would sneak around in the jungle from tree trunk to tree trunk, choking out the child soldiers and normal soldiers, and just fighting them off in a big action scene with some good old third person cover shooting. I'd be totally fine if that was the case. Just seeing him in his badass trademark outfit FIGHTING... that would be some striking imagery.
I want to see Big Boss acting more like a human. The only scenes in MGS4 where Snake acted somewhat like a human being was onboard the Nomad and when he checked the intel when he met Meryl.

So in short: I want the trenchcoat. And of course a full blown camouflage outfit with awesome facepaint.

I would love to see a sneaking suit with like loads of ammo pouches and bandoliers and the perks are that you get to carry more ammo and grenades and maybe like even like special ammo like dragons breath?

Edit: I think what I am trying to say is like a battle dress and a sneaking suit combined so like a armoured sneaking suit that offers more protection but at no reduced cost to stealth

Eh i think something along the lines of "adaptive camo" would be a good downgrade from octocamo since it would be weird if it was made years before mgs4. So adaptive camo would essentially be one basic camo pattern.. Lets go with tiger stripe just cause. But it changes color depending on the environment and weather conditions. You wouldnt be copying the texture like with octocamo but its a good first step since this is before it was made. And theres no added benefit other than stealth benefits.

A return of The End's Moss camo (the style/pattern) with different colour variations depending on location e.g. Desert, Woodland etc.

I kinda like this idea.
Maybe have it to were it locks your camo index at 70% but it will stay at 70 no matter what.
Similar to The Fear camo from MGS3 perhaps.

If your familiar with delsol products, i imagine it working like that. When you go into a different type of terrain it would gradualy change instead of being 2-3 seconds like octocamo, t would take 30 seconds or more for it to fully change into another camo. Making it useful but not useful to be dependant on it.
